I Love Driving this car!
I have 146k miles on the odometer. The Engine and Transmission are still flawless. No leaks or anything. I did have to replace the radiator, timing belt, and water pump. Man this car is pretty quick for almost a 14 year old car. It gets me where I need to go. The ride quality is really stiff, not the best when it comes down to ride quality. The fuel economy is't good either. I can't complain because it's a v6. I average about 18 mpg from city and highway driven. I love the comfortable seats and the exterior of this car! It's my daily drive and I love driving this car.

417,000 Miles
Just bought a 2002 Accord EX Coupe 4cyl 5-speed manual. 417,000 miles from the 2nd owner who owned it 10 years and had 160,000 when he bought it. Commuter car for both previous owners. 3000 mile oil changes all its life I'm told. Doesn't tick, smoke or have any issues. No dents in the body. Interior still looks good. Silver paint a little faded but no clearcoat peeling. I've driven it 1000 miles so far. Runs like a swiss watch. The ventilation system still works perfectly, the heat and A/C come out the vent you select. Still has the factory 6-CD changer THAT WORKS! I love older Honda stick shift cars (their automatics are trouble prone). You can drive them forever. Sunroof doesn't leak, still opens and closes like it should. I checked for parts on this car. New and used parts very plentiful. I've even thought about looking for the same car with low miles and babied if you can find one. Great used car without all the electronic gadgets.

Speed greed and creed
Speed- No govener on my car. Don’t know if this is typical but I had it going 125 when I let off not realizing I was going that fast passing a car. 200k miles orginal motor+trans. Both functions impeccably well. Wheel bearings need repair sooner than most cars for some reason. Maybe just mine because of rust damage and unequal weight distribution considering one engine mount is not supporting any weight.(see below) Greed- Manufacturing greed has caused engine frame disintegration cuz of poor probably cheaper engineering. Mine is not long for this world due to above for mentioning. Creed- Some decent comradory being a Honda owner. Decent community.
Bad Experience
I will never buy another Honda product. I have had to have the transmission rebuilt twice in this vehicle. Once at 77,00 miles, and again at 103,00. American Honda offered no assistance when I contacted them. Search the internet and you'll find numerous complains about problems with failed transmission on this model. I'm going back to Toyota for my next car purchase.
Avoid like the plague !
I've owned this car since 2005. I made a quick decision to buy it without doing research. BAD MOVE ! Take 5 mins to look up official recall \ complaints. Anyone who gives this car a good review has limited knowledge and/or experience with cars. The automatic transmission might go down in history for being one of the WORST ever made. Ever notice accords with faded paint ? That's another inherent problem. Some received a cheaper paint and clear coat resulting in the discoloration. If I had taken even 2 mins to research this car I would not have bought it. It's sitting in my garage broken. $2000 to fix transmissin. Not doing it. Rebuilt and refurbished transmissions have same problem
