Used 2002 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Nice
I bought this car new, and have enjoyed it very much. I upgraded the air filter and found it improved the responsiveness. Very few cars have this nice styling and comfort.
250k miles is just the beginning
Amazing little car. 250k and driving like new. A few insignificant oil leaks here and there like any high mileage car. Top off the oil now and then and your good to go. Just bought a new battery and starter. Parts are inexpensive. I love driving this car. She handles like a dream and literally can 360 turn on a dime. If you can get your hands on one that's very maintained and under 3k, JUMP on it. It will last at least another 50k miles with the potential of lasting an astronomical number of miles. You can payout $500 a month for a new car or $500 a year for one of these babies. Hope you find one!

Drive and Drive and Drive
I would say the comfort level of the vehicle is good. It is more for the non sport enthusiast. I drive for a living with at least a 2 hour commute. I have 83,000 miles on my 2002 Accord and have had my first repair of a wheel bearing just this week. I opted for the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper but I really didn't need it. I am a very big guy and it is sometimes a little tight as I spend 4 hrs at a time on the car most days. Also I can say this car is a fantastic value for the money. At this point I am just about breaking even on my value vs. financing value as I am considering upgrading to an Acura TL.
Another satisfied Honda Accord EX driver
The ride is great, quiet and smooth. My 3rd Honda in a row with NO mfgr's defects at all - great quality control. The service dept is quick, reasonable and reliable, about 1/2 the cost of a Nissan for any given task/service. This was my main reason for switching, after 25yrs driving Z-cars. The interior is immaculate, and looks like a much more expensive car - we'll keep this one for quite a while. Braking (ABS) is great and the car inspires confidence when driving. Gets the advertised mpg, both on the road and in town.
Great Car
I bought this car used with 32K miles on it. Sold my 97 Accord to get it. Have not had any problems with it. It is much better than the 97 Accord. The interior is a lot roomier, the exterior is much more stylish, and the engine has a lot more get up and go. The gas mileage around town is OK at 19 MPG. I plan on keeping this car for a long time. Highly receommend it.
1998 Accord EX --- Good, Could Be Better
The Accord offers good value, but I am not without some complaints. Despite mainly highway mileage, only 26 mpg with 4 cylinder --- not good. Have had problems with cruise control since delivery. Dealer claims no problem and after 3rd attempt refused to do anything more about it --- so much for acclaimed customer service. Finish on alloy wheels has tarnished badly and has actually "peeled" off --- again, my loss. However, the car is very dependable and offers a comfortable ride. Interior is very nicely designed and car offers driver a sense of control and confidence.

Excellent Car all around
New Honda Fan
Great little car after driving 2 different minivans for 6 years. Gets great gas mileage, peppy little 4 cyl. engine, easy to keep clean, very sporty looking.
I am so disappointed.
I bought my Accord because it was supposed to be so wonderful. I bought it new and I've had problems with the car since early on. The car now has 51,000. The brake rotors have been resurfaced twice. The door lock motors have all failed. The power window motors have all failed. The air conditioner compressor had to be replaced. The car has never shifted gears smoothly. It gets terrible gas mileage, especially when the air conditioner is on. I am lucky to average 22 mpg and that is driving under the speed limit. My "reliable" Honda has cost me a pile of money in repairs. So far, the engine has not failed, I guess that will be next. I wish I had bought something else.
My Honda
I think the honda looks good on the inside and out but I believe it is made very cheap. My car makes strange noises and my dealership tells me they can't fix it. I probably would not buy a honda again even though they are reliable.
