I bought my used 2018 Accord Hybrid early in 2020. I went from Scion TC's to this. There is a humming/roar at approximately 50 - 55mph all the time. I did research on this and other hybrid owners complain about the same thing but no dealer can tell them why. Watching how it charges does not tell you anything. That is complaint #1. Lane assist is weak, #2. I have great acceleration with this car, in both EV and Sport mode. The suspension could be better. The interior size and comfort is great, especially the back seat. I love it. Highly recommend purchase of a spare tire since they do not come with spare for this model, due to added weight, it effects mpg. Not safe with no spare tire just to gain a few mpg. Yes, spare tire will fit in trunk under mat like the other Accords for this year. AC and heat at feet are weak. Trunk space is amazing! Fold the rear seats down and you can fit so much more. Overall, this is a great car. No major or minor fixes with this car and I have 57,400 miles on it. Change the oil when it comes up and any other recommendations it tells you. There has been a couple of software recalls on this car. Do your due diligence. I would buy it again.

Hybrid At 58K

At 58K miles, I can find almost nothing bad to say about this car. Five oil changes, the 12V battery was replaced once (disuse during covid), and the tires were replaced (with less fuel-efficient ones) at 50K. And over almost the full life of the car (I didn't start detailed records until about 7K), and in all conditions, it has averaged 48.0 mpg. This includes the last 8K with the new tires, at 47 mpg. The reason anybody doesn't get this mpg is driving style. Because it is essentially an electric car powered by a generator, the power it has from a stop is deceptive.I know this, because when my wife drives it, it drops to about 40 mpg. She says she likes it because "When I press the pedal, it goes." So she jackrabbits without knowing it. And she powers all the way to stop signs. I try to squeeze the pedal, and anticipate stops. That's about all I do. I'm not aggressive, but not shy either. I do use the regen paddles, but mostly to enable a limited one-pedal driving. They actually don't increase mpg if you anticipate stops - the system applies the regen brakes first when you use the brake pedal. I have had no issues with the automated and safety features, but that they assist me, not replace me. It is not a self-driving car. One of the ones I like best is low-speed follow in city traffic. It really isn't practical with a gas car, because they don't work well changing speeds in that situation. The hybrid is almost perfect there. It really reduces strain. If I had to pick disadvantages, some passengers find the seat uncomfortable because it is too low; but cushions helped that. And it is low, affecting how we get in and out. But I only really noticed it when I sprained an ankle.
