2024 GMC Canyon Consumer Reviews

Love our 24 Canyon at4!
This truck has a terrific ride and good interior room for 2 empty testers and their large dog. Plenty of towing power and off road capability. Summer driving is getting up to 25 mpg and towing our teardrop camper around 15. Brakes are very powerful which is reassuring driving through mountain passes. Best looking midsized truck out there in my opinion.

The BEST Mid-Size Truck
Seven months and 9000 miles into 2024 GMC AT4 ownership. Also considered Tacoma, Ranger, and Colorado. Hands down, the Canyon is the best choice. The ride, engine, and interior is superior in the Canyon. ZERO issues so far. This truck is so fun to drive and looks amazing!

Should Have Waited
I love the looks of the Canyon. Rides real smooth with a streamlined body. I love the remote ap that allows starting, locking, temp controls, etc. I have the Denali package and although a bit pricey, I like it a lot. That being said there are a few negatives. The most annoying aspect of this truck is the glare on the driver and passenger windows. When you look at your side view mirrors, you immediately see the glare of the chrome trim on the dashboard. I thought that I would get used to it over time, but not yet. Gas mileage is supposed to be between 18-20. I have struggled to reach 18 even with highway driving. The infotainment system was a little challenging to learn. I owned the truck for one month and received a recall notice. Head lamps flickered at times. I actually noticed that when I first drove it at night but thought maybe that was how it should work. The engine is a little noisy but once up to speed it is hardly noticeable. Owned for one month and got a recall. Flickering headlights requiring repair and software update. Been waiting 2 1/2 hours for software update. Not good. Should have stuck with my 1989 Chevy S-10 Tahoe. Did not buy at this local dealership. Got a much better deal across state line. Hope I wasn’t flagged for not buying locally and now being punished having to wait.

Looked great on paper.
Well, all in all, I’ve been pretty disappointed in this truck. It’s a Denali version. Pros: It is a really good looking truck. When it works, the infotainment system is really pretty good. I like the storage in the tailgate. Cons: being a $55,000 Denali truck I kind of expected some luxury. There’s is very little of that. While the interior has a few nice touches, the bulk of it is made of very cheap plastic, including places that you touch frequently. It does not have a Homelink garage system, it does not have a remote rear window (which makes the window useless). it does not have hood struts. It does not have a button to access the cameras. It does not have front parking sensors. Front doors only have sensors (not rear doors or tailgate). All of these things should come with a $55k Denali. The engine is noisy and not in a good way and the power is not what you expect given the specifications. Ride is rough. Finally, it’s been pretty unreliable. All in all, it’s a decent truck but should cost $40,000 not $55,000.

A real 2024 review
If you're wonting a pickup truck that's got plenty of power rides and drives like a luxury SUV, fits in your garage, is easy to park and gets 20 mpg + this is it. and it will take you off road and look great doing it. My wife and i love our Truck 10 Stars for us
