Used it for a camper van and was PERFECT
I bought it used with 144k miles to convert into a tiny camper van. A little worried about reliability, but throughout the time I owned it, I had hardly any issues. At 211,000 miles, it was still going strong but I sold it to someone who wanted to continue to take it on adventures since I really had no use for it anymore. Throughout my ownership, the only things I had to do was stuff that would happen to any car - new brakes, new wheel bearings, and new tires. The only thing I had actually go wrong with it was the water pump failed right around 200k miles, but it was a cheap $200 fix. As other reviews said, the hubcaps do fall off really easily, and the TPMS light is super sensitive, but I just drove without hubcaps and kept an eye on the tire pressures. Another issue I had was the underbody was rusting pretty bad by the time I sold it, but it was also primarily used in Michigan, so the salted winter roads definitely were a major contribution to that. For a van, it drives great. Handling is way more like a car than a van and was very easy to navigate through cities. The visibility is amazing! The windshield is huge and so are the side windows. The blind spots are minimal. It's no speed demon, but it gets up to speed appropriately. You can fit a whole bed, sink, fridge, and way more in the back. You'd be surprised at how much it can fit. Overall, I would highly recommend it, and I truly miss it, which is weird to say about a van. If I ever need another camper van, I'll definitely be looking to a Transit Connect.

Mini Van Make Over
I and my coworker test-drove this vehicles because our company tried to purchase 2 of them to replace our current Ford 250s. We are afraid that this vehicle may not handle in the winter season because the chassis is way too low than what we expected. The cargo space is too little after you install the cabins, is very hard to get in from side doors.

Brakes continue to be an issue
I just turned over 17,000 miles on my 2010 Transit. and, I just got my 4th front brake job. I am averaging between 4k--4.5k for each brake replacement. I can't believe that there are not there aren't other reviews here bringing attention to this matter. I know several other Transit owners ( we are all dog walkers), all with the same exact problem. What gives? Its a great van otherwise, perfect for the job. I would love to continue with these vans, but it doesn't make sense.
can't understand possitive reviews
I've had this for a little over a year. The body of this van has started shaking at 45mph and faster. Reviews from Europe say this is caused by the drive shaft or the CV. I've had it into Bay State Ford, South Easton, Ma, and they claim that it isn't shaking. Ford Motor Co. says the mechanic is an expert and if they say it doesn't shake then it doesn't shake. If I take out another Ford mechanic he is going to be holding a cup of hot coffee.
It's a mini van
I find it's a perfect mini van for what I use it for, I am a disabled person in which I installed a lift back of the van I find the transit connect very comfortable in the front has all of space that I require for putting in my scooter with the lift that I had stalled in which Ford motor company helped paid part of the left . Most of my relatives and friends and family love the van. I did some minor improvements stall and fog lights and in an extra an amplifier and rear speakers and extra boost quality sound system is a perfect vehicle for my needs certainly gets great gas mileage wind I was breaking it in my girl friend and I were getting 24/33 MPG without air conditioner AC ON 23/26 Mpg
