I love my pick-em-up truck

I bought my truck brand new in April 2000. It has 4 doors (2 regular and 2 small rear doors). It gets up and goes every time I need it to. My only complaint is that it could use a little more power and torque. If FORD could add that without decreasing fuel economy, then they would have the end all be all in truck in the light truck division. It handles well, moves when you hit the throttle, and hauls anything the 150's do with-in reason. It is a shame that FORD is not going to continue the Ranger tradition. If they make casual updates then it would continue to sell well. Radio didn't last as long as it should but that is a Pioneer for you.

This is my first pickup and I've enjoyed it. I have a 2000 that I picked up from the inlaws for little to nothing. It only had 30,000 miles and was hardly driven for a couple of years. So I got what I considered a super deal, and a great truck like brand new. I've had nothing but just a serpintine belt go bad and replaced. Super reliable!

I drive a lot, usually about 40k per year. I have had great luck with the Ford Ranger. I have the 4.0L with a 5 speed manual (special order) and love it. It has plenty of power and torque. I also do a lot of off road driving. The off-road package handles great and is very comfortable on the highway also. This is the 5th Ranger that I have had. Other than replacing the clutch at 120K I have had not maintenance issue. I have 160k on it now and do not plan to trade it for at least another year so it will close to 200k. When I trade it will be for another Ranger!

As I get ready to trade in my Ranger, I have to leave feedback. What a great truck...I drive quite a bit, and have had nothing but good luck with this Ranger...my 2nd. I have needed no repairs, other than oil changes and a tire recall...dealership even told me I had over 50% of my brakes left! Would recommend this truck to anyone!
