All American Retro

The '05 Mustang convertible in dark red with tan leather and premium interior is a fun to drive beautiful all American "head turner". It handles and sounds great (for a V6) and its classic looks are terrific (I grew up in Detroit in the '70s, so I guess I am the target audience for the design, and they hit the target)

Batttery drain problem

A very fun car to drive. Lots of looks & feedback from people. But having problems with battery drain when not in use for 3-4 wk. Lost 1st battery to dead cell 2nd starting to fade. I hope Ford will recognize problem & issue warranteed fix (I'm now off warranty). I notice several others on Mustang forums with same; maybe a stong lobby to Ford will resolve this with recall or TSB.

What a Disappointment

I bought this V6 5 speed as a replacement for a 2002 V6 5 speed that I really love. (I still have the 2002, now driven by my son.) The '05 is a huge disappointment: the drive train constantly knocks, clunks, growls, and whines. (The '02 does none of this). The dealer agreed that it is bad; replaced the transmission with no improvement, and now tells me it's normal and I'll just have to live with it. Maybe the automatics are better, but DO NOT buy this car with a manual transmission unless you like lots of noise.

California Dreamin'

Awesome, excellent, more than I expected; a true fountain of youth! Gets the heart rate up and keeps it up - a great warm up before working out or for anything else for that matter! Bought a GT - Windveil Blue Metallic loaded. It gets a lot of looks and inquiries at traffic lights from those less fortunate to not have one! The 300 horses purr and roar at your whim. Excellent performance and handling on California's canyon & mountain roads and freeways. I actually get to meetings early now 'cause I want to be out there driving it. You don't have to be pushing it to have a good time driving but knowing that you can let loose anytime is a good thing.

3rd times even better

This is the 3rd 6 cyl. Mustang I've owned and this one is by far my favorite. The fit and finish is great, the performance is so far beyond my 95 that its closer to the fox body v-8. I like it so much that this is the first Stang that I'm upgrading visualy and performance wise. That's saying something about the passion this car causes in me as my first Stang was purchased in 1973. My only complaint would be the fuel fill problem that occurs once in awhile, the tank won't take a fill up at times. Overall, all I can say is that it kills me from Nov. to April when I store it.
