My Cobra Experience

I have always wanted a super car and my 2003 Cobra meets my needs. I have had a few problems with the suspention making pop noises and had trouble getting the dealer to hear them. Of course thats with most cars. In the past year I have gone through 1 alternator, but that may be because of my sound system driving it too hard. All in All this car is extreamly fun to drive and is an eye catcher. I cant immagine my life without it. The 390 horsepower+ can easyly get away from you if you are not careful. This care is for experienced drivers only. If you are wanting this car get it before they are out, my vehicle # is 2457 of a build of 8394.

there is nothing built in america that has the solid feel and performance the mustang has. there are 4-cyl turbos that can match it's performance but not the feel of a v-8 engine. try driving a mustang with v-8 engine 5-speed trans and traditional rear wheel drive and all front drive sportscars pale in comparison!!!!!!!!

For a V6 automatic, this car is fun to drive. Seems Hard to find standards (probably because everyone buys them up). Handling is great, acceleration is great, but you can't help but want the V8 or even the Cobra. Decent pricing, very possible to get payments under 400/month. The best part has to be the look that comes with the Mustang prestige.

Best car I have ever owned, period. More bang for the buck than anything on the road. 390hp and I get 18-20mpg, only 2mpg less than my 98 GT with over 50% more power. This car rocks!

This is my 3rd Mustang. My first GT. I love love love this 40th anniversary GT. It is so bad. Black with leather interior. SO glad I finally made this purchase. Was going to go with an SUV but once I saw this bad boy on the lot, had to have it. I am very very partial to Mustangs. Always been very reliable and fast.

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A MEAN MACHINE,THAT WILL PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE,THEN LOOK AT THE COBRA. HAVING OWNED 4 MUSTANGS PREVIOUSLY, THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST.THE DESIGN MAYBE VIEWED AS OUTDATED BY SOME,BUT I FIND THIS BODY STYLE NICER THAN THE 05.THE INTERIOR IS ADEQUATE AND COMFORTABLE(I'M6'4" AND FIT REASONABLY WELL).WHAT MAKES THIS MUSTANG STAND OUT IS A 400 HP MONSTER UNDER THE HOOD.THIS CAR WILL BE THE ONE THAT WE MUSTANG FANS SAY FORD PUT IT ALL TOGETHER.THERE MAY NOT BE MANY LEFT,BUT I SAY IF YOUR WAITING FOR SOMETHING BETTER, YOU MAY BE WAITING A LONG TIME.

I purchased a 2003 Mach 1 August 19th 2003. It is great! Bone stock 305 HP and 320 TQ, Amazing! With a few bolt ons the modular 4 valve will scream. In my opinion it is the best special edition mustang built in recent years.

Nice looking and even a better price. Fun to drive...no doubt. Horsepower is ok but I would always like more. The only complaint is gas mileage. Not even close to what the window sticker says. Wouldn't mind the gas mileage i am getting if it had more power. Overall, a good inexpensive sports car.

I haven't had this much fun driving since my 1973 Mach I. Still a new car, I'm learning that I like it more each day. Much quicker than my '68 289 coupe, suspension is firm, though a little squirrely in the corners, but you can learn to adapt. Driver's seat puts my right leg to sleep on any drive longer than an hour. Great sound, both from the exhaust pipes or awesome sound system. I just look for reasons to drive this baby.

If you have an aggressive yet skilled driving style, this car is for you! I've owned a V6 mustang and although it was the fastest V6 i've ever driven it pales in comparison to the V8 GT. Its complete unadulterated Power!, and to think that there are Mustangs even faster than the GT. Guess im going to start saving for the Cobra ;-)

We purchased the car for the low price, standard features and fuel economy. On the plus side, fuel economy is good and is near the rated numbers. The engine is anything but smooth, and does not like to be revved above 2,500 RPM without a lot of coaxing. Clutch throw is nearly a foot, transmission is clunky; it is NOT fun to shift especially around town. The computer keeps the engine between 2,000-3,000 between shifts which sounds and feels totally awkward. The car developed several creeks and clunks right away. Not impressed at all; I wished we would have bought another Honda instead!

I currently own a Mustang Convertible. It rides great and is a must have sporty look for a valued price.. The only complaints is the cheap quality of the interior trim. While the back seat and trunk is small, it is bigger than most convertibles and is apropriate for the "sporty" look.

The mustange appeals to people of all ages. There is nothing like feeling the wind in your face as your traveling along .....with the top down I love the way the mustang handles and the turn ratio is great.Everything is at my finger tips and I love the trunk button. With the rise in gas prices I'm happy it's better on fuel than my suv......I drive in Florida during the winter months so I have no idea how it is in snow. The weakness is the small back seat ......but it's perfect for shopping bags...... hubby bought it for my 55th birthday.....In that car nobody would ever guess my age <wink>

I looked for a dark shadow grey Mach 1 for 9 months. The whole time I felt like I was cheating on my 99' 35th anniversary Mustang (Silver and Black). But, I consider my Mach to be a classy performance car. My Mach, is my 3rd mustang. I park next to corperate americas' bmw clone series (you know the dark one with 4 doors), and no one ever compliments their cars. The joke is there is a million mustangs on the road. But I've seen one like mine. (at a mustang car show) My suggestion, but a special series mustang (35th, Bullit, Mach, Cobra) Far nicer interiors.

Amzaing power off the line. The supercharger is a little on the loud side but man does it ever get you from 0-60 in 4.7sec. This is my 4th Mustang going back to a 67 and including 2 Fox bodies, and by far the quality of 2004 Cobra surpasses them all. But, let's face it, it is still a Mustang. The car does rattle and hum in weird ways. I was very surprised to see subframe connectors when the car was up on a lift. The exhaust is also a little tame for the car. Invest in an after market exhaust (Steeda makes a really nice one), and go have some fun! Believe me very little on the road will be able to keep up with you.

I have the azure blue, color is amazing. 2 days after taking delivery of vehicle I relaced exhaust system and now it sounds great. Car feels like it has an unlimited top end, and when you need to get a short distannce quick, it does that too. For the most part the handling is acceptable. The traction control helps a little, keep the rubber from melting.

Bought my wife a mustang after 33 years of her yearning for one. Tried the v- 6, too slow, bought the GT w/ 5 speed. Took a month to adjust the seats right. Turned a 9.3/72 mph in the 1/8th out-of- the-box and that was with an RT of about a year. Super ride, good MPH (27) the most fun car I've had since '71. No problems in 10000 miles at all. Red line is about 6300 RPM. Excellent, comfortable car.

When I bought this car I was in love with it and any other mustang fan would agree its absoutley beautiful yellow mach 1 but after the so called "new" wore off it started to rattle and every since about 10000 miles its gotten worse and worse by the day! as far as performance and reliability its a GREAT car!!! so if you are a true mustang fan like my self you won't mind it that much just turn up the radio or punch the gas and drown it out b/c even know it rattles its still a HOT A8SS car!!!!!!!!

I was excited to finally drive a Mustang, that is why I decided to rent one for a few days. The 6 cyl engine with the automatic tranmission is underpowered. This car is slow and feels heavy. The interior build quality seems very cheap. The plastic holding the window buttons on the driver's side door is already loose (at 14K miles!). I am 6'2" and the height of the interior seems OK. The seats are alright as well. The 6 disc changer stereo sounds good. I have not tried to remove the top, because it seemed complicated. This might be an OK car, but I would expect much more from a Mustang in terms of performance (even if this is an automatic one).

From when you first step on the gas pedal till your rational mind lets off the throttle the power never ends. But be careful, the tires will go up in smoke just as easily because of the amazing amount of torque. The handling is superb and smooth because of the independent rear suspension. The seats provide great lateral support and have adjustable thigh and side bolstering. Great V-8 Supercharged power. The best Mustang ever that can compete with vehicles that cost thousands of dollars more. Driving the Cobra puts a smile on my face every time I drive it or just look at it.

The Cobra is IT for domestic production sports cars. Corvette? I don't think so. Certainly not when you compare price to performance. BUT, it is what it is. That is, a Mustang in seriously enhanced clothing. It buzzes and rattles and could be better refined inside. BUT, drop the top and point it to the open road, and interior annoyances don't seem to matter as much.

All around, the best of all pre-2005 Mustangs. 320hp but it can be short-shifted at 2000 rpms and can start off in 2nd without lugging; can skip gears. Excellent throttle response at all engine speeds. Ride is good, not harsh. Get 25-26 on hwy. Traction control is helpful; it is easy to spin the tires, especially on wet roads. I have one as my daily driver; it is less common than the standard GT; 60 more HP, better steering, larger brakes from the Cobra, subframe connectors, better (Tokiko) shocks. Noise is a little high, but not bad on the highway. Get the 5 speed manual; it's the only way to go! Will probably hold value better than all but the Cobra models.

This car is so much fun to drive, especially with the top down. Everyone agrees it's a great looking car. My first car was a '67 Mustang and I always vowed I get another one day. The incentives in December were too good to pass up on so I opted to buy then instead of waiting for the 2005's to come out. I am not unhappy with my decision at all!
