So far i've driven the car 1,000 miles and all I can say is that the car has plenty of power for a V6 and overall is one of the best cars i've ever purchased. THe interior has been around since 1994, which is a very long time, but Ive never owned a mustang before, so its like brand new to me. Its fast, reliable, and for the price its definitely worth it.

I have a 2002 GT with a 5 speed manual and I love it. I don't think you can get a better bang for the buck. The slight notchy feel lets you know your in gear, seats are comfortable The controls are simple and easy to reach and the sound that comes from under the hood is music to my ears. A deep growl that lets you know you have a few horses there. And at highway speeds, in 5th, the engine is barely breaking a sweat. If you want to pass, drop it a gear and BANG, your gone. With a nice set of winter tires, and the traction control, snow is not much of an issue.

This car is absolutely a great ride. For the price, you get everything from leather to power. I paid $11000 less for this mustang than my brother did for his G35 Coupe 6MT and the mustang is still faster.

It is a fun car till you have owned it for 4 years. Even with continious maintenance I still have problems. Check engine light, shifting into 5th gear is a grinding experience and shakes when in the idle position. The top also leaks when washed or it rains.

Terrible disappointment. I just test drove a new 2004 6 cylinder. I am shopping for a 180+ hp, rear wheel drive, american made car with good gas mileage. I thought the 6cyl 'stang would foot the bill, but came it up terribly short. The car is so heavy that the cheesy 6 cylinder motor can't seem to get out of it's own way. I recall my 1993, 140hp, 6 cylinder beretta having much better acceleration. I wonder if the 5 speed performs any better. The interrior would be great if this were 1989!

I own an 89 Saleen and I have to say that this pony has almost as much power and pickup. The suspension is impressive for a GT. I would however mention that they need to do something with the seatbelt. The clip always slides back through the guide and the guide is just a little too big. Overall if you are looking for some driving entertainment, try a "Screaming Yellow" convertible GT.

This information is on a 1999 Mustang Purchased Sept.99. the auto has 121000 miles. Had only only one problem in that time. A wire pinched in the tilt wheel.Replaced battery in 03.Have never had any other problem. Am on my third set of tires, change the oil ever 3000 miles. Add gasoline and go. Like it enought to buy my wife a 2000 same type car from World Ford in Hollywood FL. It has 82000 miles. For less than $20,0000 you cant do better. I have no reason to believe the 2004's are any different. Its the same basic automoble.

This car is definitly for the speed junky. It's a smooth cruising 390 hp stock. 40 more hp and ten thousand dollars less than the vette. If you you really want to fly, add the SVT Exhaust and the Lightning s/c pulley. With those two mods it'll make approx 450 hp at the wheels. What a car....

Before I bought my mustang I thought, "This is a cute car but, just not for me." All the salesman had to say was, "Just take it for a spin!" After I drove the car I understood what he meant. Everything about this car was meant to please the driver. I am absolutely in love with my car and have no intentions of ever trading it in.

The Mustang models are prettier from the year 1998. My favorite cars are Mustangs, but I thing that the 98 model with a luxurious interior and tempting spoilers would be a nicer model, they stilllook really good being old, but brand new would mean a surprise to consumers meaning better raiting and business. More economic on fueling would help.

I have driven and owned many different mustangs in the past 15 years. The Cobra I just bought surpasses them all by leaps and bounds. No it's not a BMW or Mercedes. However, it is a very fun car and not necessarily for the faint of heart or light of foot. If you can, go buy one today! It's a blast!

In true Ford fashion, the Mustang Mach 1 has been reborn. It is everything the original was, if it were to be made today. A working shaker hood, 17" heritage wheels, "comfort weave" seats and a 305hp (45 more than the GT) 4.6L engine to power it. This is a retro muscle car lovers dream. I have loved mine since the first mile I test drove it, and with every mile thereafter. It is a thing of beauty with a hint of beast lurking underneath!

I waited years to purchase my dreamcar a 2004 Mustang coupe, although I would have like to purchase the GT model, the base model has enough power, fun to drive, and looks great in the city or on the road. Great gas mileage on the highway, the city mileage is fair, but with a powerful V6 you must make sacrifices.

I've owned 4 Mustang GT's and this new Mach 1 beats them all, except in the gas mileage category. It's fast, relatively comfortable, given the very stiff suspension, and gets looks like it's an exotic car! The fit and finish is excellent and only several minor issues have become evident, the shaker scoop rattle and the passenger seat door rub, both easily corrected by the dealer.

I own a 2004 Mustang GT Premium and it is the best car I have ever driven in my life. I drive it back and forth to work everyday and I couldnt ask for more out of a car. I love to drive even more because I have a car that most young people envy to have. I recommend that anyone who wants a car that is absolutely fun to drive and as comfortable as you can expect I recommend the Mustang for 2004. The only true American Muscle Car left.

This is my third Mustang and the 2004 Mach 1 is the best yet. My '67 289 coupe and '97 Cobra(trade-in) were fun but the Mach 1 with it's "Shaker" hood scoop and other exterior features mixed with the performance and ride quality make this car a great buy and a pleasure to drive. For me, no regrets. So far I have driven the Mach 1 350+miles and it is getting smoother and stronger with every turn of the key. I have not experienced any problems with the Mach 1.

For about $25000 this is a lot of car.The engine and transmission are a joy.I love the 5 speed manual and the convertable.Even in the snow the car has good road manners. My two kids fit in the back seat with no compaints;plus they love being in a Mustang. The trunk is functional, holds my gymbag, laundry ,groceries etcetra no problem. You can have fun and reasonably practical transportation for 25 grand .I like the idea of avoiding expensive german imports like BMW 3series or audi and being in real American muscle that can take them out,and at half the price.

I sold my 2001 Mustang GT convertible and took the big step up the "Fun & Excitement" food chain. The 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra convertible with the Mystichrome package is an amazing automobile! The 390 bhp engine begs you to bang through the six-speed tranny while the IRS hugs the road. Turn the traction control OFF and feel the entire impact of this high powered yet well mannered monster. While the interior's fit and finish need some work, the stares and pointing toward you and the vehicle makes a grown man giggle with glee. Even while parked the color changing paint and seat leather gather looks, gawks, pointing and staring. This IS the best of Ford SVT to date.

I love this car. I just got it about 2 weeks ago, found one still new on the dealer showroom floor. It's so fun to drive and gets pretty good gas mileage. I am told the gas mileage will get better once the car is broken in. It handles the corners nicely, and has a good feel to the acceleration. If you want that nice breeze you just drop the top and go. It's the best mustang I have driven so far.

I have had problems since the day I got this car. All electrical, right now the car in is the shop b/c all the lights came on on the dash for no reason and my fuel gage went to from a full tank to empty and gas gage came on with all the others. To begin with the radio some how made the car not crank. The ford place were rude to me, have been since I bought the car and I will never buy a ford again in my life. Oh and I wasnt given a spare key with my car which was a demo, thus roadside assistance scratched my newly tinted windows They are beautiful cars but horribly made, they drink gas, buy something else besides a ford!

We purchased the car for the low price, standard features and fuel economy. On the plus side, fuel economy is good and is near the rated numbers. The engine is anything but smooth, and does not like to be revved above 2,500 RPM without a lot of coaxing. Clutch throw is nearly a foot, transmission is clunky; it is NOT fun to shift especially around town. The computer keeps the engine between 2,000-3,000 between shifts which sounds and feels totally awkward. The car developed several creeks and clunks right away. Not impressed at all; I wished we would have bought another Honda instead!
