Great on gas, but improvements needed

Decent power, but Ford needs to put a 6 speed manual in it! 3000 RPM cruising at 115 km/h is absolutely absurd. The MTX-75 needs to be retired. Fun facts about the S: No low washer fluid indicator, and you cannot turn the traction control off on the S, short of pulling the fuses for it under the hood. Phenomenal on gas, however. Even with winter tires, it's not great in the snow, partially due to the low ground clearance. Tuxedo black metallic paint is gorgeous when clean! The build quality is good, save for the stupid mud flaps; I've lost both front ones because the clips don't hold, and the rear ones are barely hanging on. Only been in the shop once for a wheel bearing when new (warranty)

Transmission replaced at 22,000 after Ford sent regional located engineer out to determine problem and provide resolution as reflashing did nothing to eleviate shuddering and crunching/grinding noises of transmission. Resolution was to put in new transmission. At 36,000 miles or 14,000 into the new tranny we're experiencing same problem, yet even worse this time around. I couldn't be more disappointed at this point.

Buyers Beware ⚠️

2012 Ford Focus Titanium 4dr Hatchback (2.0L 4cyl 6AM)

Purchased my 2012 Ford Focus in December of 2015. In the barley 4.5 years that I owned it the clutch had to be replaced 4 times. It would be ok for a little while and then it would start shuttering again and the clutch would burn out again. The dealership would fix the issue since it was under a recall, but showed no interest in offering a loaner or rental without persistence. Are we supposed to just do without a vehicle? We recently traded it and will never purchase another Ford again.

Terrible car.

This was my very first car. Test driving it was exciting and everything ran smooth, I loved having an aux and something that drove smooth. Less than a day after buying the car, Ford's idiotic transmission problems shined bright. Every time I stepped on the gas the car would stutter forward, sometimes stuttering for more than 5 seconds (which is a long a** time to be stuttering) and finally lurched forward. At first I thought I was just on a bumpy road and my car was sensitive, until it did it constantly no matter where I was. It's been over a year of having it and I can't wait to buy a new car. DO NOT buy a ford focus, I do not know how so many people drive such a terrible car.

Overall, I love this car!

I purchased the 2012 4-Dr Sdn SE with Equip group 203A including cruise control, MyFord Sync and Sirius 6 Spkr Radio, and Optional Equipment of SE Sport pkg with Alloy Wheels, Select Shift 6 Speed Auto Transmission, Disc Brakes Front and Rear and Rear Spoiler. I am averaging 35 miles per gallon so far. This car easily keeps up with flow of traffic. On the Interstate it accelerates easily and cruises comfortably. The built in blind spot mirrors make it easy to double check for lane changes and entering on ramps. The steering is very responsive to maneuvers for unexpected circumstances. The trunk has ample room for shopping, or traveling. The fog lights are great in fog or rain conditions.
