I must say that this is by far the BEST vehicle I have ever owned. I have read the other reviews and it seems they got "friday trucks". Mine is absolutely awesome. 81000 miles and still as strong as ever. On a regular basis I haul 15 to 21 THOUSAND LBS. I have replaced Brake pads, the driver's lumbar assembly, tires and oil. I have meticulously maintained this vehicle and cant wait to get my new one in January. By the way, I am running a power chip,K&N airfilter and a Propane kit. My truck has DYNO'd at just under 400 HP and 750FT/LBS of torque. AWESOME is all I can say. Funny thing is I used to be die hard chevy and you could'nt GIVE me a ford.

Had trouble with truck since day one. First with an engine skip "clogged injector". First snowfall, found out 4 wheel drive didn't work. Shortly after 36k warranty expired electrical problems began, lots of $$$ to repair and still lots of problems. Leaky steering/brakes power assist unit. I called ford to ask for help with these problems, they told me that they were sorry but no vehicle is perfect.

I tow 4500# and carry 3000# camper. I have the 6.8L V-10 with no problems. I have camped at over 11,000ft. Climbing rocky roads (rocks over 12in. diameter with camper in the bed. I pulled a 18,000# motorhome out of ditch this last winter in low-4, very easy. I carry camper and tow snowmobiles in the winter. I will buy a new one next spring with the new 6l PowerStroke. I did put in dynamat insulation in the cab so that road noise is kept to a minimum. I put in cat back exhaust and K&N filter system. I get approx 15mpg in town with these mods. Great truck!

Love the dealership/don't care for Ford. 6-8 months after purchase all the glow plugs had to be replaced!? Truck pd in full May 2000. That summer the tranny had to be replaced as 5th gear went out?? Hit 36K That meant spending $3600 out of pocket. I called ford they wouldn't help at all!! Electrical problems started after 3rd yr. Inner and outer lights stay on.....

I have owned this Super Duty since 2014. It’s almost doubled in value in the time I’ve owned it but I don’t know what I would replace it with so I keep driving it. Excellent machine that’s simple and effective. Will tow ANYTHING! This is my 3rd 7.3 PS Diesel Super Duty. I regretted selling the last two. Not about to make that mistake again. I guess I’ll keep this forever.
