Used 2010 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
I almost sold it but I'm glad I didn't!
I've had this car for 8 years. The miles were getting up there (167k) and I wanted something faster so I got a small car to replace it. I kept my Escape "just in case" because the trade in value was not worth giving it up. Well the car I bought to replace it ended up needing a bunch of repairs, so I sold it and I'm back in the Escape! I used the money from selling my other car to get new suspension on the Escape and to get the engine tuned up and it is running like a charm. I love this car and I'm so glad to be back in it driving it again. Transmission drain and fill and the fuel injection service have helped it perk up - speed wise. I love the look of this generation of Escapes and it just feels sturdy. I like all the controls on the dash too. So easy to find what you need. I'm not a fan of newer cars with all the screens. Oh and it is high up off the ground so I feel as big as those big trucks on the road. My kids like the space in the back and I can haul tons of stuff in the gigantic trunk. I brought home a freezer from Lowes the other day with no problems. I love my Escape!

In the Shop @ 21K w/V6
I bought this used at 21K. Two days after the purchase, the check engine light comes on. I really didn't think that it was a big deal, but I had the time so I brought it to the dealer on Memorial Day (Leith Ford Wendell, NC). Turns out I needed new Cylinder Heads and a camshaft. Evidently this is a common problem. At 21K that is unacceptable. Luckily it was covered under warranty so I didn't pay a dime, but it has been 4 days now and still no car. Thankfully the dealership sprung for a loaner. We will see how it is when I get it back

One month review
Didn't think I'd be buying a 10 year old SUV but I saw it on the lot and had to have it! Great looking lots of pep and cargo room.it rides like a car. It is painted matte black and only chrome on it are the wheels. Love this truck... the only downside for me is the loud engine noise in the underground parkade and when you turn the motor off it sounds like a turbo spooling down. It gets lots of looks when driving around town and we love it.

Not As Good .......
I love my 2004 Escape-129K+ and never a minutes trouble-easy to care for-I hate my 2010! Love the sync & sirius-but hate the interior (dash, console)-no way to keep clean. Also liked running boards on 2004. Can feel wind when driving-can not in 2004-not sure what changed-but would not do it again!
Great value!
Best small SUV ever owned. I have the 5 speed, 2.5. Bought it brand new and it has being nothing but pure pleasure to drive. A.C no longer working but all other power options still working. Original factory battery. Needs new rear shocks and a paint job - that is it. Love my car!
