Camper Puller
We purchased this truck new with the Cummins engine. We also stuck with the standard transmission. It pulls are camper with ease and you actually look forward to hills while traveling. Some people complain about the noise, but I like a truck that sounds like a truck. They take a gas engine and put loud exhaust on them but they want a diesel to be quiet??? Another plus is looking under the hood, you can actually see the engine.
If it runs - run it!
Purchased the 2500 SLT LB - 2 w.d. primarily to get the Cummins Diesel. Unbelievable power - and I tow quite often. Interior roomy - back of truck is constantly packed with over 4000 lbs. of business equipment. Runs very very well. Fit and finish of Dodge chassis/body a little unimaginative - but then we've owned Mercedes and Toyatas in the past and are accustomed to a bit more in that area. Wish Cummins would sign a deal with the Dodge Sprinter folks to put one of those power packs in that model instead of the little 2.75 litre Mercedes Diesel. That would REEEEELY be a truck!

The best truck I've owned
I have 130,000 mi on this truck.I wouldn't get rid of this truck. I've owned toyota's,chevies and fords and this had been the best by far
Good old truck
I have owned this vehicle since it was new. If I had to complain about anything it would be the brakes. I have full ABS brakes. I am doing the first brake job at 60k, My '92 had at least 50% brakes left when I traded it in at 85k. The truck has been very dependable and is comfortable to drive on long trips. Other than that I think the brakes are a little lacking, I love the truck.
