I tested the GT+ and the PHEV. The GT+ was plenty for me and costs quite a bit less. I also made sure to stay with the 17" wheels / tires, which ride so much better than the larger alternatives, especially the 20"ers on the "Track Pack" and 18"ers on the Blacktop Package. I got the Tech Package for the electronics, especially the adaptive cruise control, surround camera system, and parking assists. I have over 23K miles in 9 months, obviously a good trip car, comfortable enough for something so small. The adaptive cruise control works well, as does the lane keeping, both very helpful as the miles pile up. The rear and top camera views when in reverse are very helpful and useful. It's GREAT fun to pin the pedal and accelerate onto highways. Although there is a wee bit of a lag before the power hits. No trouble at all passing, pin the pedal at 60 - 65 and doing 90+ by the time the pass is done. OK, and more, sometimes the pass lasts a bit longer.............. I'm averaging 27.5 MPG on regular so far and it is NOT babied! Niggles: I would like a larger hatchback area! Dodge made it VERY tricky to DIY change the cabin air filter, including needing two different Torx tools. As other noted, the phone charging pad is hard to access, almost no use for me. And as also noted, sometimes the infotainment system is just a bit slow. But it works just fine! Since I drive 100% solo, I didn't need or want the rear headrests, which block a lot of the view out of the rear window. Removing them, particularly the center one, required dealer help. If you need the rear passenger space it's only for smaller persons / children at best. Well, it is a compact SUV. 23K+ miles, still tight and fun to drive.

If you enjoy towing your car and having the dealer tell you multiple times we have no idea what’s wrong with it, this is the car for you. Don’t listen to anyone telling you how great they are. Mine has now been in the shop at 22 miles, 134 miles and now sitting at 1900 at the dealer. It only made it from 134 to 1900 because I refused all updates. The dealer updated it and it that was the end of it running. Cars junk and they know it. Luckily my state has great lemon laws which is where I’m at now. Btw 2 neighbors are also in the same boat as me in my small town. 3 duds in the same neighborhood, come on.

This car is a rental ans is so different. It starts differently and did not know when it started. Than you must release the break and we had to press button several times. Car groans when it starts moving. Small hatch.

With the recent discounts, this car is a great value. I just traded in my 5 year old Tesla Model 3 for the Hornet R/T Plus. It’s really FUN to drive in Sport Mode and I still get to drive electric for my daily commute. I bought the Mopar extended warranty for piece of mind. It also looks really cool and stands out in the sea of compact SUVs on the road today. This my family’s second PHEV — we have the Chrysler Pacifica and having the ability to switch between electric or gas is the best of both worlds.

Worst car I've ever driven

I rent cars all the time, though all ranges of the rental spectrum except for electric. This car is absolute trash. The brakes squeal, the regenerative braking is very aggressive, the android auto messes up my Google pixel 9 pro. I'm returning this car to the rental agency and replacing it with anything else. If you buy this car, I would seriously reconsider your life choices. There are so many better cars out there, Mazda cx3 and cx5 for example. And with those cars you don't have to feel guilty about all the environmental damage from lithium mining and hybrid battery manufacturing.
