Used 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Consumer Reviews
Engine light delayed and cost me a new engine
I was happy with my 2004 Monte Carlo. The back seat is a real pain getting in and out of though. My big complaint is I have 161K miles on it. Always maintained on schedule. Suddenly it started acting up and I made an appointment for my mechanics to check it out. A few days before the appointment the engine light went on and I took it in immediately! Well..engine light should have gone on several days prior when it was acting up. It did not! Now it needs a new engine! The engine light was lazy and it is costing me. This has ruined my belief in American made cars! Update after spending $6,000 for the new engine and labor it ran fine. Then less than year later the headlights started going off and on without warning. Yes, computer problems! As the result I traded it in on a Subaru. Never owned a Japanese car before. Always insisted on American! The Subaru is fabulous!

Julia's Monte Carlo
Love this car. It is fun. With a lot of get up and go. Also gets lots of compliments
My Monte
Monte Crlo is a great car. It has the looks, feel and quality. A total package car.
Most Impressive
This car is Chevys best kept secret. It's fun to drive and gets the looks wherever it goes. This is as close to a Real Muscle Car look as you get these days, and has all the toys that you could want, all in an affordable package with not bad fuel economy. Nicely done Chevy...
One Sick Ride!
I bought my SS Supercharged Monte Carlo in March of 2008 as a traveling vehicle. I'm in the US Navy and commute once a month at least 500 miles (8hour) drive to and from the desert. And the Monte Carlo is sick! It handles with care and is definitley reliable. Mine has taken me everywhere, literally! The only problem I have had with it is the sensors with the fuel system my gas guage went out on me and stays on full at all times. But it's not a big deal really I just keep track of my mileage as I drive cross country! Other than that I love my new whip and plan on keeping it at least 20 years, or until I buy my BMW one day. I strongly recommend this vehicle!
