2016 Pre-owned Impala Review
Good basic sedan. I liked the creature comforts with extra power the 6 cyl gives. All paperwork gives much lower mileage than what I experience in real life.

Impala with a luxury feel
I highly recommend. This is my 5th Impala, and this is the best of the bunch. A luxury ride and feel, and pleather interior. Cloth in part of the seats for added breathability. Great steering and brakes. Radio display takes a little getting used to. View out the rear window is just adequate. Many other features to like such as smooth transmission, turn signals on rear view mirrors, great sounding radio with XM, comfortable seats. Everything that counts is included with this package. 2 yrs later and my review remains the same. Very pleased.

Not impressed
Car looked great on the lot and it was a certified pre-owned with a good warranty and only 8,000 miles for almost 15k below the new car cost. That's where the "wow" wore off. The Impala rides too harsh and unsettled for the flagship of the Chevy lineup and twin to the Buick lacrosse and Caddy XTS. Getting in and out literally bruises my hip because the seat belt has a hard piece sticking out at the side of the seat. I keep turning the radio off and every time I get back in the car it's on again. The a/c automatically lowers everytime you make or receive a phone call, even if it's 100 degrees outside. The autostop function is a nuisance because the car bucks and jumps at every stop light/stop sign and I doubt it's really saving that much fuel. Some of the interior bits are cheapy/flimsy. I have the upgraded LT and it has fabric/plastic seats, the Chysler 300 costs the same and gives you real leather and a V6 that gets about the same mpg's as Impala's 4 cylinder??? I think I made a mistake. The Impala also sits way to low, I keep scraping up the front end. I'm just not impressed.

Love my Impala but nervous about it's reliability!
Bought my 2016 Chevy Impala in June. I fell in love with its bold and sporty looks. I like big cars and the Impala is nice an roomy. Great V6 Engine with solid performance and I get great gas mileage. I had a Chevy Malibu LT prior and I wish the Impala LT had ambient lighting in the dashboard like my Malibu did. Overall I love my car but... After just under 4 months my left brake/ turn signal light went out. Never had that happen in a brand new car. Periodically my park brake light comes on when I get in a start my car. I know that I didn't hit the button. My radio has turned off by itself, never froze or anything just shut off. Twice my interior lights didn't come on when I hit my keyfob to unlock my doors and even after I opened the door to get in the car. My sunshade stops on its own when I hit the button to close it. As much as I love my new car all these little bugs makes me nervous that I will have long term or other major issues down the road.

Buy the LTZ
I've read reviews here and it seems all the whiners bought the LS which I never go near a base model of any brand, they are all built to do the bare minimum . I spent the money on the LTZ and couldn't be happier, the V6 has 305 hp which just moves when needed, and the fit and finish is amazing compared to the 2007 impala I traded in. I bought the interior with the black leather and beautiful brown stitching. The rear view camera, lane departure, blind spot warning, and collision alert are all fantastic. I highly recommend this car if you are willing to spend the money.
