My thoughts
I have the LT 2.4l e85 equipped engine with an automatic transmission, it's in a SUV class and it's sporty it's a win win and when you give it gas it goes so power ain't bad and even being in a SUV class I get about 29mpg on the highway that's pretty good, if you plan on going on vacation or traveling with a lot of cargo best not to bring more than 5 or 4 people it can get cramped with a lot of people and cargo, the suspension is nice good mix between sporty and comfortable it's rated to tow up to 1,500lbs which isn't much for a SUV the seats aren't bad either, I have well over 200,000 total miles drivin on this car and I've experienced 2 major problem's so far if you hit the brakes really hard they will go out and you won't be able to stop the emergency brake also false I believe the fix to this problem is a bad wheel sensor other problem sometimes when you start the engine it will make a bad ticking noise and you'll need to shut off the engine and then start it again, not as bad but the transmission is ruff when you're stopped and still in gear.

Great car, but some cheap interior
Great car, I love it, but changing the headlamps is difficult, poor design, and the interior door handles are cheap plastic and they break, pretty dumb considering they get used a lot, and they are a bit difficult to replace

Overall a buy
My 01 Volvo finally died unexpectedly on a work night miles from home so I found myself in a sketchy buy here pay here, low and behold I see the ugliest beast I ever did see, a 2010 Chevy HHR with only 108,xxx miles on her in my price range! Off we go. 3 years later, I repaired a door handle ($12 &20 mins), a turn signal ($18& 15 mins) and hun assemblies & break pads ($110 & about an hr and a half) she now sits at 170,xxx, yes, 20,000 miles a year for three years and that’s all she’s asked of me! Everyday she starts runs and goes, snow, sun and rain. She’s ugly, she’s retro and god does her radio and speakers SUCK, but she never hesitated for a second. By far one of the most reliable cars I’ve ever owned. Recently got a modern fancy can and she’s been garaged to be my teens first car in a year because I have 0 doubt she’s got another 100,000 miles in her!
