Used 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche Consumer Reviews
It is big
I like every thing about my Avalanche except the gas mileage. I am considering putting a camper top on it because the bed with the covers on it is to low to haul large objects with out exposing them to the elements. all in all i am very pleased with the truck and would buy another one.

Very quiet easy to drive vehicle. For those wanting a big SUV this is the one. You can take it any where, big city or two track.

The Av....
This is my second Avalanche, the first was replaced by the dealership within the first week due to electrical problems. They volunteered to replace it! I love this truck! This is the Z66 version. Road trips with the cruise on = 20 mpg, not bad for a brick. City = 11 mpg. I have had no problems with this Avalanche, it's versatile, takes about a minute to change it, unless you remove the hard cover. I have driven it in heavy downpours and have never had any leakage. All I can say, even though it took 2, Chevrolet got it right with the Avalanche, there is nothing else like it.
cool truck
overall,a nice vehicle, underdash needs insulation ,tapping on top or front of dashboard sounds hollow, makes you think its cheapley built
Utilitiful truck ever...
What more can I say that the Av is everything I'm looking for in a truck. Hauling stuff, kids, camping friendly, etc. At first, I thought it was ugly until it grew on me. It could use some improvement in performance that the acceleration felt flat from stop unless you stomp on it, a little play in the steering feedback, and brakes just doesnt grab well.
