We purchased our vehicle two and a half weeks ago, and it has spent one of those weeks in service at Cadillac with no end date as to when our issues will be resolved. Similar to a previous reviewer, within 1,000 miles our driver assist system stopped working entirely. The alerts for this failure were constant, unable to be dismissed, and extremely distracting. Our trunk stopped opening electronically. The interior wireless charger does not work. The door handles are not closing flush with the vehicle. We are unable to charge on any charger but a DC fast charger, all other charging attempts fail within minutes. Our infotainment settings have lines of blank or unusable options (for example, seven different lines that say "Sound" in the sound settings). Our infotainment screen becomes so hot while we're driving we can't touch it, and I'm fairly certain it's a fire risk. It feels like GM was so anxious to get these off the production line they started throwing them together, which does not make me feel great about putting my family in this vehicle. Our sole highlights are the range, the look of the vehicle and the space within the car itself. It's a shame nothing else works as expected.

My 2024 Lyriq Turns Into An Expensive 2024 Brick
Hello. I bought a 2024 Lyriq on July 29, 2023. It has only about 1,048 miles on it, most of it from driving back & forth to the dealer, located about 100 miles away from me. It has also been towed twice to this same Cadillac dealership. The vehicle can be ina fully charged state, but quite often a "12v battery fault" alert pops up when attempting to turn it on, rendering the vehicle totally immovable. (The two battery systems are separate.) Then the vehicle will turn itself on and off; it may or may not lock its doors; and there is no easy way to make that cycle stop. Eventually the 12v battery is depleted and the 2024 Lyriq becomes a very expensive brick. Ultimately, the vehicle locks itself, game over. Happened to me now again and again, which is why I haven't been able to drive it any distance: what if this happens to me when driving away? My new vehicle is now, once again, 100 miles to my North, back to the dealership. (It bricked on me again Wednesday morning; "fast service" to Cadillac meant them not sending me any help until layer the next day.) Despite me signing every possible coverage Cadillac had available, they have yet to honor either the Cadillac Roadside Assistance contract we signed, or the loaner car deal we entered into, either. Oh, and when they towed my AWD electric vehicle yesterday, they did it by dragging the front end while the vehicle was still stuck in park. A big no no, which even the tow-truck driver stated yesterday. My question is: have any other 2024 Lyriq owners or other folks out there heard about this problem of a "12v battery fault" popping up, leaving the vehicle immovable? Thank you.

Less than 100 miles major battery malfunction 2024 was told all the issues were resolved dtiving a loaner for the last 10 days concierge is a joke waited since May 19 2022 what a waste

2024 in shop after 450 miles
The car was quite nice to sit in and drive for the first two weeks, I can’t say anything else nice about it. I went out to the garage and the car was dead. Had it towed to the Myrtle Beach dealership and they can’t fix it (something about the battery). While everyone was nice that I spoke with, nobody can answer my questions as to what precisely the problem is nor can the answer as to when it will be fixed. I have asked for my money back or a new car. Both GM and the dealership find that amusing. It has been sitting at the dealership for over two weeks. I am disappointed and feel as though I have been defrauded. GM is just not “there” where this technology is concerned and they knowingly sold a car that doesn’t work. GM told me (on line) that someone named “Chris” (EV Concierge) would call me last week and has not done so. They have my money and as far as I know, don’t care about their product.

Joining the list of naysayers
We got our 2024 Lyriq in July 2023. Had it a few weeks and started getting error messages about Stabiltrak. The cadillac dealership kept it two weeks and claimed OTA updates would fix the problem, which it did not. About a month later, an additional error message about the rear door latch system needed servicing. Another trip to the dealership and a week to repair that. In november an error message about servicing the high voltage battery system appeared and yet another trip to the dealership. This time it was there for a month and they replaced the battery pack. At this point the vehicle is working but we have zero trust in the reliability of the vehicle. We've requested a buy back but have gotten no where with that request. I echo the sentiment of others, this is the worst vehicle I've ever purchased and is a testament to the poor quality and character of GM. It goes without saying but I will never purchase another GM product and this comes from someone that has owned GM vehicles for over 40 years.

Worst Decision Ever Made
Comes with a myriad of issues and minimal support from the makers and creators of the vehicle. A COMPLETE LEMON! O should have bought another Tesla!!! Battery issues, window malfunctioning, back up break system malfunction, parking assist does not work, random requests to roll down rear windows and roll them up again! Bought the car in July. The customer satisfaction representative calls “to check in” No action taking place JUST TALK! This car has caused me to spend time with the dealer as if it were an OLD CLUNKER! SHAME ON YOU CADILLAC!

9 Months In and Counting
The car is beautiful with nice luxury appointments. The ride is a little harder than your usual Cadillac ride. I have had it in service 5 times so far. 2 times because it was dead when I came out in the morning and had to be towed to a dealership. The biggest problem is that the dealers nor Cadillac know how to fix these cars. There is a lack of communication and a large learning curve for the mechanics of which each dealer has 1 mechanic that has been fully trained on the car. There is supposed to be a LYRIQ loaner each time you go in for service but this hasn't happened yet to me. The other problem is that GM has decided to put a lot of electronic over the air items on the cars however they neglect to tell you that after the initial 30 - 90 days trial everything stops working unless you spend $50.00 per month on plans (Navigation, Google, On Star, etc.) to keep the systems up and running (not including the Sirius XM rental fee which is an additional fee). I would think a $67,000+ car would include these items. My daughter has a VW ID4 electric and all these come with the car and she spent $25,000 less. So now you know why I rated the LYRIQ as I did. It isn't all the car's fault. Cadillac and GM have a lot of the responsibility.

Not even a year old...
I purchased this vehicle Oct 2023 @ Jim Coleman Cadillac of Bethesda MD, for my spouse as a commuter. We have been to the 4 different dealership service departments with continuous issues related to 1) High Voltage prompt displaying 2) reverse camera intermittently working - sometimes turns off while in reverse 3) ALL the displays turning off while driving 4) Software updates not installing... and others. Of the 4 service departments, only 2 actually performed software downloads and attempted to fix issues - Annapolis MD and Lyndsey VA. The others - Waldorf Cadillac and Jim Coleman did not offer any solutions or help. Although the actual ride of the car is excellent, I worry that something major will happen while spouse is driving. I will inquire to GM about a 'buy back' plan. It makes no sense that I have to pay for this inferior product every month. These issues have caused major inconveniences, and the service departments never offer a loaner. I am completely PO'd with GM and will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE OR BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT AGAIN!

I love it — Cadillac Lyriq outstanding!
I have had my 2024 Cadillac Lyriq AWD for 5 months and 8500 miles. It is very quiet and comfortable. Drives great, handles well and the torque is incredible. It does take some study to understand the infotainment system. Very convenient to charge at home. I just completed a 2200 mile road trip from San Antonio Texas to Sun City West, Arizona. The car performed flawlessly. EV charging stations were available and worked whenever I needed them including the free EVGo stations in the Phoenix area (free from Cadillac for 2 years). I’ve had another 1150 road trip and all went well. The Lyriq is very quiet and rides very well, and the comfort includes massaging seats. Especially helpful is Super Cruise with Automatic Lane Change. I would recommend the Cadillac Lyriq for anyone who wants to combine luxury and an electric vehicle experience. Went in for the 7500 mile check up —- it was free and all that was needed was tire rotation and a software update

Listen Up GM - Almost Perfect
Coming out of a Hyundai Ionia 5 Limited. Thought it was the best car I ever owned. The Lyric beats it in many areas but fails in others. Had my Lyric ( late 2/24 build) for a month. Did a road trip from LA to Palm Springs. Lots of local driving other than that. Here is what needs to be improved/fixed. - Car sounds - Low speed sound for safety is WAY to loud. I should not be hearing this inside the car. I want my electric car to be quiet. At higher speeds when accelerating you also hear a fake engine type noise. This can NOT be turned off it seems. GM ... PLEASE give owners the option to turn off engine sounds. Several annoying rattles in car. Car itself is very quiet inside which is great but makes any rattles all the more noticeable. I have never had a car make this much rattling noise on bumps. Dealer fixed one of them ( door panel ) but others seem to be getting worse the longer I drive it. Not acceptable. Parking sensors and parking camera. Camera only comes on in reverse. It should come on when you are at a low speed and pulling in to a space. Hyundai did this. Make it an option. Backing out of my driveway on a hill causes the car to beep/seat vibrate and slam on the brakes since it sees the road as an obstacle . None of my other cars did this. The angle of the camera or radar needs to be adjusted or turned down. Does it when I pull into my driveway too and again, no other cars with this same feature did this. Have a sensitivity option on this. Car does not seem to have proper lane keeping at regular cruise control. My Hyundai had lane keeping in normal drive mode at anything over 35 mpg. And Hyundai worked great. When Lyric does it above 45 mph it is no where as good as Hyundai's. . But the super cruise works much better. Seems like it should be the same. Can speed engagement be done in the Lyric again as an option? Lane changing alerts dont seem to tug the car back into the lane to prevent hitting someone. Just seat vibration or sound and red flashing light on windshield. Car should try to steer back if it sees you are going to hit a car. Thought it did this. Why no HUD in this top of the line model when a Chevy Blazer EV that costs less has it. My Hyundai had it. Charging port seems to get quite hot with high speed charging and the Hyundai charges faster. But part of that is that the Lyric has a larger battery so it takes longer. Also only getting 2.6 kw per mile of range and the Hyundai in the exact same driving was getting 3.1. Now this may be due the the fact that the Lyric is much heavier so that reduces it. Not sure if this range is normal on the Lyric or not. Display when it is dusk turns to night mode and you literally can not see it until it gets fully dark outside. This is a safety concern. The sensitivity on the auto dimming needs to be changed or be turned off so you manually can adjust it. And in night mode even in the brightest setting it is not bright enough. So that should me modified as well. 3000 dollar Napa leather seat option not really worth it. . the leather is NOT soft . In fact harder than any leather I've ever had. The armrest on the door is soft but the center armrest between the seats is WAY too hard. Not sure what caddy is thinking here. Google map integrated is great but when you use it on the screen in front of the driver you do not get the traffic info. Why not? You only get traffic on the map when used on the right side of the display. Also the rear/front and overhead surround camera display is very small and not filling the entire screen. It needs to be bigger! My Hyundai was a larger higher quality image. Also the Hyundai has a feature that is a game changer. When you put your blinker on it activates the video camera in the side mirrors so on the dash display you see your blind spot in clear clean HD day or night. This is a fantasic feature and seem like one that Caddy could integrate since their are cameras on the sides I believe. If not add that! Display went black for 30 seconds the other day. Seems like it crashed and rebooted and then all my presets had to be redone. Not great. Hope it doesn't happen again. Never had the Hyundai do that in 2 years of driving. The Cadillac App is not as full featured as the Hyundai one. Also when you open it , it takes literally 3-4 minutes before it updates with current status of car and charge. Hyundai took like 30 seconds. Not sure why the Caddy app takes so long so this needs to be improved. So some may say these are minor things but they do add up and many can be easily fixed with a software update. But all in all car drives great with a nice balanced ride that soaks up most all road imperfections of which there are many in Los Angeles. Car is big so need to get used to that and indeed heavy so you feel it. But plenty of electric torque. SuperCruise works quite well and made the trip to Palm Springs pretty much hands free although it disengaged 3 times going to Palm Springs on the freeway saying road not supported. so that seems like a glitch. Car of course looks amazing inside and out and is a head turner. Luxury feel on all switchgear inside which is what I was hoping for. No comparison to Hyundai in that regard. Hopefully GM reads these things and can make the many mods in their next software update.

Lyriq, poor craftsman ship
In July I purchased a 2004 Cadillac Lyriq. Upon driving out of the dealer I learned that the OnStar system was broken. Took it back to the dealer, who kept the car for two (2) weeks while fixing the issue. A month later I took a trip to Tampa, FL. On my return from Tampa, I stopped at a SuperCharger in Ft. Myers and the car would not charge. I took it to the local dealer who confirmed that the car would not charge, yet they could not figure out the issue. As a result, the dealer reset the computer (which temporarily fixed the issue) and advised me to follow up with my local dealer in Miami. Upon returning to Miami, I took the car to the local dealer who kept the car for two (2) weeks fixing it. A few months later I had to return to the dealer due to a faulty turn signal (it would get stuck when turning right); in addition, the gap control between cars while on cruise control did not work; the computer screen occasionally turned blank and listed numerous errors on the screen. The car is beautiful but is poorly crafted and not worth the money and aggregation.This is my first Cadillac and I strongly regret purchasing a Lyriq.

2024 Lyriq Lux 2 - A Software & Tech Lemon
I bought a 2024 Lyriq Lux 2 on June 8th. Car immediately had critical tech issues on delivery with key features not working. Car immediately went in for 2 weeks. Dealership with support from GM could not fix it. Got the car back for a short period while they regrouped. Car went back in on 7/15 and has been there since then. They have thrown a laundry list of parts at it, replacing some components twice. Engineers have been in to look at it and they still do not know how to fix it. Waiting on a GM decision to but it back. This was my second BEV daily driver. I am also a long time GM customer, trucks, corvettes, etc. I would not touch an Ultium vehicle with a 10 foot pole at this point. GM needs to focus on the issues plaguing these cars and impacting their customers. The Lyriq has a lot of potential. If GM had been better at execution, the car would be phenomenal. When it works it is an excellent car.

Solid car for the price
Out of all the EVs I have driven, this is probably the best equipped in this price range. To get the equivalent features you will spend 10-15k more. Only a few cons... 1) Software, while this is temporary issue and the software keeps getting better it's still not 100% there. Some things are a challenge until you learn where the feature is (e.g. good luck figuring out how to power the radio on and off). 2) The center console panel in front of the jog dial seems flimsy. While the rest of the car is solid, this seems to move & flex when you push buttons. Would have prefered this part to be out of metal for a more solid feel. 3) A manual that matched the car would be great. The manual seems to be a lot of cut & paste from other vehicles and it doesn't always line up with the actual menu or buttons in the Lyriq, e.g. there is a section on HUD... the Lyriq never had that option.

Lyriq the good the ugly
I have had this vehicle 4 1/2 months. I do like the ride and look, but I do have some issues that have not been resolved by my dealer. They did fix my WiFi, but I did not have service for 2 months. My cell phone charger works on and off, more off. It came with 2 years free charging, I have yet to get the system to work, have reached out to dealer and EVgo and still have nothing. Would I lease again a Lyriq, NO. I'll look for a luxury EV elsewhere when this lease is up.
Incredible ride experience
I bought a 2024 Sport 2 AWD. This in my eyes is almost a perfect car. Very good value. It has a stylish & futuristic exterior that turns heads and an impressive interior cabin that is very quiet and the suspension/tires absorbs the terrain really well. Very smooth and powerful ride. It still amazes me that this near 6000lbs car drives this well and zips up from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. I am one of those Lyriq owners that has had no issues with the car. I suspect it is due to the fact that I bought one of the later VINs and had PIT6065E (dealer software thing) installed before I picked it up off the lot. I highly recommend this car. Very spacious cargo capacity in the trunk because of the extra room under the trunk bed. Very comfortable & luxurious ride. Awesome 19 speaker setup by AKG. Great visibility from within the car and the sunroof/moonroof is always fun to have. Lastly and arguably most importantly, the range on this SUV is phenomenal. At over 300miles on a full charge, you will likely never have range anxiety. On top of that, NACS support will be available later in 2024.

I purchased a 24 Lyriq 1/11/24. It has been in the shop more time than I have driven it. Two warning lights came on and the dealer could only identify one of them. They said it needed a new download. After over a week, they said it needed an entire new battery. I used to work for gm 32 years and have purchased 100’s of vehicles, have owned 12 electric vehicles since 2012, Volts and Bolts and now Lyriq. Considering all the poor reviews, including mine, I am totally shocked at the end result. Every gm car i have owned as well as company cars, this is by far the worst. I am thinking Lemon law.

Would not recommend to anyone at this time
I wish I understood prior to purchasing this car, how often I would actually be without it. I absolutely love the car…when I have it! I have had to take it in about every three weeks due to service lights regarding something or other. One saving grace is that our car dealership service area is wonderful and they get me a loaner car each time and address my needs. But having to bring it in so often and being given a gas car to drive anyways is less than ideal. I am seriously considering pursuing a lemon law with this vehicle and waiting until the car is more reliable. Again, the car itself is beautiful, smooth, great luxury EV, but I rarely have it in my possession!

Again and Again
My ‘24 luxury Lyriq has been towed 3 times due to 12 volt battery issues. Other issues include large battery dropping a lot of electric charge just sitting in garage(service states needed an “update”) again. It’s been in service different times totaling 17 days. Everytime whether it’s the automatic windshield wipers, ac, 1 pedal driving switching off, cruise control malfunction, parking bake disengaging, headlights coming on in garage for no reason, all are fixed by a computer update that has to be done in Cadillac’s service department. I’m sure the Cad. Mechanic and service Dept. is as disgusted as I am to have to take it back again and again. It’s not what you expect when you buy a brand new car at that price!

Bug after bug
Constant issues with our 2024 Lyriq. Pros: styling, power, Cons: car randomly talks to you even when not in the vehicle… it will just start talking inside saying it’s offline. - car has soooooo many rattles. Everything rattles…. This is a brand new car why is it rattling?!? I have a 2001 mercedes with 180k on it as well…. Not one single rattle… not one. Brand new caddy.. rattles everywhere…. Pathetic. - You can’t turn off the front grill lights…. It’s an electric car, I want as much range as possible, why is the front grill lit up like a Christmas tree? - Handles like a bag of bricks but that’s expected with a vehicle like this. - the charging….. at home it’s ok on 240v. Charges every night no problem. The issue is the fast chargers. I’ll use the charge prep and even then it will not charge more than 110 to 120 kw! It’s advertised as having 180kw capability. This is an average day as well, not too hot and not too cold. 15-20°c. My normal charging speed is 60-70kw on a level 3 charger. I complain to charging people and they say it’s the car. Cadillac says it’s the chargers…. - the other issue is the choppy infotainment display, it lags when you click things and when the map moves it’s choppy as well. Every complaint I’ve had about the car has fallen on def ears. So heed my warning. This car is a pain in the bottom and I pray to god it lights on fire by itself oneday so the insurance will pay it out for me and I can buy another new Mercedes. The Lyriq is a Blazer… built like a chevy and slapped with some nicer badges. Underneath it’s just a pig wearing lipstick. Avoid this nightmare of a vehicle. Literally the WORST new vehicle we have ever purchased and regret financing it now.

Too many problems
Numerous computer problems. Had to have car towed would not drive. GPS did not work even time date and day was wrong. Took days to get car returned. Problems persisted. Dealer admits they have had numerous issues.

Best vehicle we have ever owned
Amazing vehicle. Comfortable. SO QUICK! Quicker than any vehicle I have ever owned except for a Z06 Corvette I drove one time. Interior is wonderful. I will never but a vehicle without Super Cruise. It is that good. Have had an issue when the speakers had no output of any kind (music, onstar, google) but we pulled over and turned off the car open and shut the door and it started working again. Also we really like the Hey Google feature of navigation and controlling the vehicle.

My Lyriq is music to my ears
One of the finest vehicles I’ve ever owned. Drives so smoothly with power to spare. It’s comfort level compared nicely with the best Lexus SUV. Someone said it’s the Mercedes Benz of SUV EVs and couldn’t say it any better. The fit and finish is immaculate. I believe the range rating is under estimated. I primarily use the charger that came with the car and can get 100% level 2 charge overnight if needed. I like you can set a charging schedule to take advantage of lower rates. So much nicer than any Tesla model. This SUV EV is the one to get.

Do NOT purchase Cadillac Lyriq!!!
I purchased my dream car in September 2024. This was my 50th birthday gift as I have not had a brand new car since 2012. About a month after the purchase, we realized the heat and A/C was not working on the passenger side. I took it into service at the Cadillac Waldorf, Maryland dealership where I purchased the vehicle they kept my car for about a month and finally Said that they didn’t know when the part would be in to repair the heat and AC as of today January 9, 2025 I still do not have my vehicle. This customer experience has been terrible. The Waldorf Maryland General manager has ignored all of my calls, emails, and visits. He has refused to contact me back. No one at that dealership has tried to make me whole as a customer. The Cadillac customer service Lyriq concierge department has ignored my calls. No one has tried to correct this horrible, inconvenient, stressful situation. Do NOT purchase a Cadillac Lyriq!!! And do NOT purchase a Cadillac AT ALL if you’re expecting a good customer experience and a great vehicle for the money you are spending!!! I feel so heartbroken and disrespected as a customer!!!

So far .. Great!
We loved the look and drivability of this car as soon as we test drove it and our opinion hasn’t changed in the 5 weeks we have driven it . Love how smooth the drive is and just the overall feel of the car . We were a little worried after reading all the reviews on the internet but after joining a few Cadillac Lyric forums we felt better about purchasing the car as the vast majority of people who actually own the car seem to love it ! There are a few things we don’t like of course ( the exterior door handles and the knobs on the interior vents ) but overall the car is just beautiful . As to reliability I guess we will see but at least in our limited time the car has been great and I highly recommend it . One thing I wouldn’t do is go with qmerit for the install of ur 240v plug in the garage .. they just add the 1500 dollars that Cadillac gives u to the regular price in my opinion … but again just my opinion . Take the free 2 year charging if u have EVgo in ur area .
12 WEEKS OWNERSHIP 5 WEEKS IN SHOP
Purchased lyriq july 1 and since to oct 1 has been in shop 4 weeks with no resolution in sight Vehicle delivered new with nonfunctioning front camera-took three weeks to fix because cadillac part back ordered -had to get from another dealer Doors will not automatically lock and stay open after lights ramp down in for another two weeks Ordered another back ordered part secured from another dealer but it didn't work to fix probler Dealer cant fix-need to consult with travelling cadillac technician -they don't know then he'll be available -still waiting I am told they never saw anything like this beore In meantime gave me a chevu equinox as a loaner with a 1.5 liter engine Lyriq level 3 has a fine ride love one pedal driving and the audio system is outstanding

Same old problem
My 2024 Lyriq was towed to the dealer for a Battery Fault alert 3 times. Good thing all happened at home and my dealer is only 15 miles away. I also have a few rattles that can't be found. I bought a Cadillac EV (Buy American) and It's a Cadillac. Well, may be time to go foreign

We try very hard to be diligent in our search for a new vehicle. We test drove Genesis, Alfa, Volvo, Audi, BMW, VW. We try to find new tech and many of the gas vehicles were identical to the last time we searched to a vehicle in 2021. We had test drove the Lyriq early in a search, tried many plug in hybrid models but none seemed better than the Cadillac. We have owned it for three weeks, and it rides like a dream, the dash is beautiful and very user friendly. This is our first Cadillac and they have a valet team to follow-up on each step with questions and to help get our EV charger installed. We chose Luxury 2 model with self driving and 500 HP AWD. The self driving seems to work well, we have tested it on several trips, it manages the speed and even changes lanes for you, it requires you to pay attention but it is very futuristic. We had ZERO problems the vehicle and it is a real pleasure to drive. We have not purchased an America car in a while but this is a car worth looking at if you want to consider an EV and it does have over 300 mile range as advertised. Our dealer Burke Motors was good to deal with and we enjoy this car and its technology very much, this is a 2024 and issues with their early releases seem to be all resolved.

Not my favorite choice for a luxury car
I had a horrible experience with my Lyriq 2024. When the temperature falls below 25, the dashboard shuts down, and the car starts acting weirdly. The heat and the AC are other significant issues (They don't work before running the car for 15 or 20 minutes). Also, the charging cable stopped charging on some occasions. In addition, it had a very loud chirp when receiving a notification, I had to take it to the dealer to update the radio software. My personal opinion is that the car is not ready yet for real-life experiences. it needs a lot of tune-ups before introducing the car to the market...

I traded in a 2022 Mustang Mach E that I liked for the Lyriq. I was looking for a smoother ride and really like the looks of the Lyriq. It was the worst car purchase mistake I ever made! The car has design is that are annoying and defects that are infuriating. Design issues: - The glove box has not physical latch to open it. There is an electronic button that appears on the Home Screen only when the car is in park. To open the glove box while driving, you must navigate into the menu 2-3 levels. - The car plays an exterior “Sunrise” sound while the car is traveling 23 MPH or less. It is very audible inside the car. There is no way to turn it off. - Instead of having Homelink buttons on the visor, the garage door button is also en electronic button on the main display that disappears as you move away from your garage. (More on this under defects.) - The radio is always on. There is no way to turn it off. Your only option is to turn it down or mute it. You can change the settings so it is quiet when you start your car. - Door handles will pop out as you approach the car, but the doors won’t unlock for passengers until the person with the key gets within a couple of feet, even if you have it set to unlock all doors. - There is no front trunk. - There is no rear wiper. Defects: - Detached interior panel on the driver’s side. - Detached seat cushion strap on the passenger’s side. - Brakes failed. - Faux leather on steering wheel around the SuperCruise indicator came apart. - Many issues with electronics: * CarPlay cut out. Dealer finally replaced the radio components which resolved THIS issue. * Electronic button for the garage door sometimes does not appear when I’m in our garage, or sometimes does not work. * Speed limits sometimes do not display, appearing as “- -“ within the electronic speed limit sign on the dash. Sometimes this happens for a month at a time. * Speed limits disappear are frequently incorrect. * Sometimes if you shift into drive too quickly after starting the car the infotainment system will not show album artwork. * Sometimes album artwork displayed on the center screen is different from the album artwork displayed on the smaller screen to the left of it. There are many other little annoyances… I emailed Mary Barra, CEO of GM, asking that GM buy the car back. I was assigned an executive customer service representative who, although she is very nice, is unable to do much. She did issue a bunch of GM points to my account that I was able to use to make car payments. They will not take the car back, though. I would NEVER recommend that anyone buy this car!

Not Much Help
Overall, I love the car. It is comfortable and has all the luxury and ride quality you expect from Cadillac. Unfortunately, nobody seems to have answers to the questions that have come up. Three local dealerships and numerous calls to the EV team at Cadillac and no solutions. Maybe in time but for now not getting answers is annoying. Update: Jan. 2024 The problem has been corrected. It was a software problem. Still love the car. I am getting 400 miles in the summer and 350 miles in the winter with 20-80% charge time approximately 45 minutes. This car is truly underrated.

Stylish Modern Electric SUV
I owned my 2024 Cadillac Lyriq for 8 Months. The car has a stylish exterior and a modern and posh interior. I enjoy the 33” inch infotainment / driver display. My car has been in the shop twice. First time to fix camera issues caused by outdated software. Second time to replace a faulty radio module which left the car disabled. Both times the car was at the dealer about a week and both times I received a loaner Cadillac while my car was being repaired. After the radio module was replaced in Nov 2024 the car has been driving reliably. This car has great suspension and acceleration. Visibility to the back and left of the driver is pretty bad but driver assist features compensate somewhat for that. Super Cruise works well on major highways. Overall I’m enjoying my Cadillac Lyriq.

Remarkable ride
We have not one but two Lyriqa. Our first was a black 2023 Debut Edition, arriving in May 2023 after a nearly 2-year wait. Our second is a red 2024 Sport 2 AWD. Overall, our experiences have been very positive. The cars are super-quiet, handle well on suburban and rural roads and interstates and are very flexible. We have had top vehicles for years -- these are Cadillacs #6 and 7, SRXs and Escalade ESVs preceeded our Lyriqs. And I am a car guy. Before my current Lyriq AWD, I had both a Genesis and a C7 Z51 Corvette. When running well -- most of the time -- the Lyriqs are delightful, safe and incredibly rich in features. Cadillac's OTA upgrades are not reliable, but our dealers have been helpful, although thin on trained mechanics. And driven conservatively and utilizing regen, we substantially exceed the EPA-reported mileage range. There is a temptation, though, to nail the accelerator at times ... perhaps a residual of my Corvette and prior hot car days. And believe me, the 500 hp dual motor is quick. We enjoy comparing notes with other EV owners while charging on trips, and find we are overall happier than most of those we meet at the stations. And every week, we find our Lyriqs drawing looks and unsolicited positive comments. Which we enjoy! We have had a "brick" episode with the DE linked to a failed OTA upgrade that drained the 12v battery. Annoying and inconvenient. But a $50 Amazon purchase of a 12v battery booster eliminated this from recurring and causing a problem. We are not SuperCruise users, and in fact utilize far from all of the available technologies in the car. But we are really glad we endured Cadillac's poor communications during the waiting period post-order. Pepper and Hot Lava -- the names we have applied to the cars -- are enjoyed and praised to family, friends and those we meet.

I couldn’t be happier with my 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ. From the moment I sat in the driver’s seat, I was impressed by the luxury and technology Cadillac has integrated into this model. The sleek, modern design turns heads, and the all-electric power provides a smooth, quiet ride that’s both thrilling and efficient. The interior feels like a high-end experience with spacious seating and intuitive controls. Charging is convenient, and the range is more than enough for daily drives and road trips alike. Cadillac has truly stepped up in the EV game, and I give the LYRIQ a well-deserved 5 stars!

You've probably read a lot of negative reviews, and here are a few reasons for their appearance: - poor build quality of the first batches - a huge number of problems with the software that they struggled with throughout 2023 - some people find it difficult to understand various functions (this is not a machine problem - the problem is user stupidity ). But the most important thing, which caused negativity and the desire to return the car to the dealer, was the price reduction in 2024 by $7.5k. Those who bought in 2023 feel cheated. In addition, many did not know what a 7500 tax loan was and how it worked (many discovered that they had not paid enough taxes and simply had nothing to get a refund from). And now about the car: 2004 Lux2 AWD -500hp - fast, although heavy - all-wheel drive is good in the snow, very good - quiet - 19 speakers AKG - very pleasant and clear sound (if you need bass that tears out windows, you should go where they drive cars with 30 rims...you can stay there) - the seats are comfortable - climate control is normal - visibility is no worse than others - the headlights are excellent (adaptive), at the same level as BMW. THE MAIN ADVANTAGE IS CHARGING COST: at night tariff from 12 am to 6 am - $0.04 per kWh!!! Full battery charge for 300 miles for $4.2-4.6!!! Yes, during winter frost, energy consumption increases by 20-30%..so this is normal. If you drive in the city at a speed of 35-55 miles, then the range will be greater than driving on the highway. If you accelerate like an F1 sports car, then on a full battery you will travel not 300 miles, but only 170-200. It all depends on the conditions and driving style. Am I happy with the car? Yes. Would you buy it again? Yes.
Love My Lyriq - It will get even better with time
I owned a 2021 For Mustang MachEx before this and I loved that car. Unfortunately, I totaled it a few weeks ago. I had seen the Lyriq being talked about about a month after I purchased the MachEx and thought, I should have waited and got the Lyriq. I learned with the MachE being a first year purchaser that it is a live/learn process for the makers and things slowly improve with updates. I have only had some minor issues with my car so far and they have been with the gps, the phone connection, and charging speed. My phone has disconnected from the car unexpectedly (as if it had never been connected) a couple of times. A couple of times, the GPS said there was no internet connection but, when I restarted the vehicle, there was an internet connection. The Lyriq charges slower than the MachE did but that is something that Cadillac can fix through over the air updates and I hope they do. I LOVE SuperCruise. The Mache "drove itself" also but the Lyriq does lane changes and seems to keep its lane much smoother than the MachE did. I love the 19 speaker sound system..I drive long distances to work and it helps. We loved it so much, my partner went and bought a different color (Sport 3) 2 weeks later. I purchased mine from Sunset Cadillac in Bradenton (sold by Bob) and drove 3 hours from where I live to pick it up. I have Nimbus Cloud and My partner has Celestial Metallic.

The worse EV ever made
I leased a Cadillac LYRIQ 2024 on October 6. After 6 days driving about 120 mile the car start having issues with break system. I took the car to the dealer and it’s been sitting there for a week and they can’t get parts. Apparently due to the massive amoutn of defective cars the parts are not available anytime soon. GM and Cadillac customer service just keep sending you from one department to another and apperently no one cares.

Cadillac can do better
I LOVED the style of the Lyriq…beautiful lines. Maybe GM was in too big of a hurry to get this SUV EV on the showroom floor though. 12 weeks at the dealership with a myriad of issues and no resolution in sight for most of them. I’m waiting now for my buyback offer. So disappointed.

Love my LYRIQ
I've had a couple of issues with my 2024 LYRIQ, but for the most part, I love it. It rides so smooth and has plenty of power. I would recommend upgrading your charger. The one that comes with the car kept shutting off before the charge was complete. No problems with upgraded charger.

Luke driving in the clouds
I've owned 2 Lyriq Sports 2 in 6 months. A driver ran a red light and totaled my first. The Lyriq took the hit well with little damage to me. Both cars ride and look amazing. Only complaint is not having the Surround Vision camera system recording. Coming soon, but in case of accident it's pretty important.

Great car! Bought in June 2024. Have had no issues. Took 3 long trips. Everything works well and is predictable if one does his/her homework on planning for trips and understanding electric vehicle charging dynamics. Supercruise is FANTASTIC. Well done Cadillac.

Don't try to back up
The back up lights are inadequate to see where you are going. The dealer had it in the shop several times and was finally informed by Cadillac that there was nothing wrong with the back up lights, this was how they were designed. This is a major problem and I have reported it to the NHTSA.
2024 Lux2 AWD
Would I buy this car again? Yes, definitely! 1- charges at home, after midnight, when the price of electricity is minimal. Previously, I had to pay about $ 350 per month for gas for my Grand Cherokee, now, with the same mileage - no more than $ 40! 2- very quiet car 3- 500 horsepower and all-wheel drive 4- comfortable interior 5- many convenient features

Great car, door handles well not so much!
The car is beautiful, the fit and finish is as expected, it’s a Cadillac after all. But the door handles, it’s as if it was an afterthought, but fortunately they will change it for 2025. Sadly they were not like Ford and changing the charging plug to Tesla’s NACS for 2024, Cadillac stated they will change that in 2025. For those reasons I’ll wait to buy one for the 2025 car year.

2024 Cadillac Lyriq Lux 3 - Blown Away!
I purchased a 2024 Lyriq after holding back on the 2023 Debut edition. Most reviews were negative, especially those about bugs with the vehicle’s software. GM must have taken those reviews to heart, because the 2024 edition is a whole different story. Clean, intuitive interface, an amazing amount of technology, screen customizations that personalize your car, and a total pleasure to drive. And so far not a single bug. Given past experiences with other GM vehicles, I am amazed as to how GM was able to build a marvel of a vehicle like this. I am very demanding when it comes to selecting a vehicle, and I can say the Cadillac Lyriq Lux 3 is a winner.

Awesome luxury EV
Besides a few software teething problems solved by dealer updates and a hard reboot by disconnecting the 12 Volt battery for 15 minutes, the car is working as it should. Ride is luxurious, acceleration outstanding and it is a pleasure to drive. Leather, sunroof, ventilated/heated seats, Apple Carplay, Google maps and Supercruise are creature comforts many other EVs don’t have. 100% charge range is 307 miles but normally charge to 80% which is more than sufficient for daily use. Once GM gets the OTA working again, expect software updates to just keep improving the vehicle.

Do not buy this car!!!!
My 2024 Lyriq was hit in the front driver's side. Not a lot of damage. However its been in the body shop for two months waiting for parts from GM. Today I was told that a wire harness part is needed and GM has given an estimated delivery date for the harness of middle of May to the end of June. ANOTHER 2-3 MONTHS FOR PARTS!!! This has been the worst experience. I called GM and they were not helpful at all!! It will take almost 6 months to get my Lyriq back from a minor accident.

Lyriq was a great fit for me
I got my Lyriq in January, built in November. It's been a stellar vehicle, comfortable and clean. Great for the family. Make sure all software is up to date before you take the car from the dealer.
