Encore SUV
I have had this vehicle about 16 months and it continues to impress me. It is fun to drive, economical, and the safety features are exceptional. Although my wife is not a fan of SUVs, she loves this vehicle.

Lemon or crap luck
The car looks really nice! We were excited to get something this nice at 21 years old, but our excitement died off. We have a 2021 Encore GC 1.3t AWD. We are the second owners after buying the car with a clean Carfax record. We had an oil leak come up 6 months after owning it. The Buick dealership replaced what they thought was a leaking/warped oil pan THREE times. Flash forward to now, the car has been in the shop 6 time in 4 months, for upwards up 8 weeks to tear down and reseal the whole engine from top to bottom. The dealership claimed to have help from a GM engineer, but that didn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve had the car for four days, and I’m returning it back to the shop for rattling, grinding, and whining noises today. At this point, we’d love it if GM would buy the car back so we could go back to our not-so luxurious cars. The only good thing is that everything is under warranty, but we just wish we wouldn’t be paying for our car to sit in the shop.

Good car for the elderly - not for a real driver
This car is the most sensitive junk I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of cars. There are so many little things that can and do go wrong. There is an emissions "evac pump" that has been broken for several months now - the dealership says it's fine to drive it like that but, my auto start doesn't work as a result. If you have to take evasive maneuvers in this car be prepared to pull over and reset everything. The power steering sensor will go off and sometimes the traction control goes off. So, I have to pull over - turn off the car then turn it back on. Also they took my tire jack when I bought the car - said it was a recall - I just called today (2 years later) to see if the jack has come in or if the repair part is there. Nope - I would never in my life buy a GM or Buick vehicle after this experience. Toyota, why did I ever leave or doubt you?!!
