Drive 1- you'll get it. Own 1- you'll fall in love
Just a really fun car that turns heads. It's the future. The tires are expensive- but you can switch the rims to wider ones for better handling. Find an aftermarket shop if buying without a warranty (there is an 8 year battery warranty tho). It's basically a mini engine which is fairly reliable. -DFWsCars

Superb, if you like what you’ve read so far.
The reviews of this car, in aggregate, are generally correct. I’ve read/watched nearly all that’s out there, and I bought this car a couple of months ago after that. This is basically an incredibly beautiful car, with great sport performance and great around-town fuel economy (if you charge at home) designed by a BMW team who was given virtually no limits -and then “dismissed” by the following leadership, from what I understand. You can tell the difference between these no-limit cars and everything else they do. Two points of criticism only: technology/i-drive will feel dated by comparison to anything new - and you will be going MUCH faster than you feel like you are. Otherwise, I think it’s an absolutely extraordinary achievement. It’s a sure-fire classic, a rare oddity on the road, a wonderful daily driver, a head-turning beauty, a wicked-fast machine (if you need to buy faster, which you don’t, then do), and you can easily pull in great MPG around town if your daily driving isn’t far. In my opinion, it’s better than I thought it would be, and when TopGear recently called it the single best car of the last 30 years, others scoffed. I nodded.
