Just over 1000 miles so far. This car wants to go without hesitation. Solid, connected to the road. A joy to drive. Almost as much fun to drive as my S2000.

This is a small low to the ground car. Not for my 250 lb son or my 6’ husband, but they both drive it in a pinch. The steering brakes and engine are performance perfect. Very fast off the line. Totally solid and stable at 80 mph. Drives like a little tank in snow. Manual transmission is fun and handy in unpredictable conditions. Love that the seats can fold back and the back window opens to carry long things like fishing poles. Double sized sun roof somewhat appeases my desire for air and sun. Infrequent but expensive repairs. My dealer proved themselves to be kind and service oriented but untrustworthy on the need for some repairs, especially once I ran out of warranty. Good mechanics who work on German cars can be found and the charges are reasonable. This car has over 100,000 miles and is 10 years old and still some riding guests claim they thought it was new! I bought it new in October 2006 and traded it in October 2018 for a Tesla 3. Best car I ever owned but I wanted to go electric.

The Ultimate Driving Myth

I purchased mine as a CPO with 33K original miles on it. IMHO all the dealer did to "CPO" the car was to detail it. Within the first 24 months it had the following major problems: 1. Power door locks failed 2. Right rear wheel bearing went (was bad on delivery...CPO people were obviously deaf) 3. Electric water pump failed 4. Low oil level warning light came on less than 500 miles after purchase (further proof CPOing ignored that 5. Radio display not visible while wearing polarized lenses..oil leak, battery died, bluetooth not blackberry compatible, outside mirror motor failed....brakes stick on release....

I have had this car for two weeks now and absolutely love it. This car is solid, smooth, fast and of extremely high build quality. Handling is so stable and accurate. I have had two previous 3 series and this one blows them away. It’s not a slow car, but it’s not a racer either. Put it in drive sport mode and it feels as fast as my G35 coupe I traded it in for. I do think it could use about 15 to 20 more ft/lbs of torque though. My past experience with BMWs is that they get much faster as they break in. The 2007 model has 15 more HP and ft/lbs torque than the 2006 model.

Our 2007 BMW 328i (3.0 litre I6) is one of the best cars out there! The 3.0 litre I6 hasplenty power! The 230 horses has gotten us to 105 EASILY! The only problem we've had so far is an oil leak...that costs about 1k to fix...but its worth having the car! I'm not a huge fan of the fake wood on the dash and panels but whatever. I'm actually kind of glad we dont have iDrive because i've heard up until 2009 models, iDrive has sucked. The BMW professional sound system is great! Rear seat room is ok...front seats are comfortable enough. Luckily German cars have a lot of pop-on parts. One of the coolest features is the BMW flashlight in the glove compartment! This car is great! We bought it for 8k, but it was really priced at 14k. We bought it in December of 2015. But resale value on BMWs is horrible. This car is GREAT!
