I sympathize with anyone who didn't get the M240.

I drove the 230 and the M240 xdrive back-to-back. The 230 is a nice, peppy, cheap little car with awesome tech and fantastic mpg. It a short wheelbase car, so the ride is going to be "short." It's a coupe, so the backseat is better than a 911, but barely. At least the seats are rear seats back there. But this car is really about the M240. It's as good as the 440. Rides as well. Is almost as nice inside. Gets stupid mpg for 383hp. And the interior quality smashes all comers. The difference between quality-feel and composure of the two models is enormous. As with any BMW, you get what you pay for. If you really want to bump either model upscale, get the xdrive.

My Bimmer gift to myself

This is my first experience with BMW ownership. I bought this car as a reward to myself for jobs well done. I did about six months of reviews via the web ... professional and owner reviews from the model years of 2022/2023 and what I could find on the 2024. So far, I like my decision on buying the car. I chose the Portimao Blue Metallic with Cognac Interior. My firs long drive was around 300 miles back from the dealership I bought it from. The over all ride was very comfortable. The run flats were as expected. Quiet on well paved roads ... noisy on lesser well paved roads. No surprise at all from what I had read about run flats. Not a rough ride at all. Handled what bumps it encountered very well. The interior layout is very well done IMO. At first I didn't think I was really going to like the toggle for gear selector ... but it works well for the interior of the car. The interior cabin of the 2 Series 2dr Coupe is small, so good choice by BMW designers going with the toggle. I had the same thoughts about the iDrive LCD screen being the way it is. Again, it works. Once I figured out how to get things set the way I wanted them, moving between screens/widgets etc. is no problem at all. The round iDrive controller on the console between the seats is perfect. The bells and whistles that come with a car of this stature work very well for me. I do like being able to program the car to start at a set time each morning and be nice and warm when I come out to go to work. Connectivity between my Android and the car is no problem. Loving the heads up display. Gas mileage is what was reported so far. On my long drive home from the dealership, I ( based on the car readings ) got 35MPG. So far in town, I'm doing about 26MPG. Visibility is good front and back. Doors make a solid sound when closing letting you know you have a quiet interior. The owner/user manual icons are a nice touch. Plus having them on your phone helps. After having the car for a week now, I will say it's been very pleasant. Very little road/wind noise at both city and highway driving. Solid feel to how it drives. Responsive to steering inputs. Could have done without the piano black trim along the dash ... fingerprint magnet. So ... to sum up ... Great ride quality Quiet ride road/wind noise wise Solid build Good MPG thus far Value for money ... yes I would say so Sporty looks ... got that Ease of use with the iDrive 8 ... yes once you get the hang of it I'm happy with my choice.

The car and the driver fit like one entity. The handling, the nimbleness and the power are like nothing else I have ever driven before. I just love it!

It's no doubt a true M performance car for its horsepower and torque numbers. But at the same time, in the comfort mode it's a perfect car for commute and groceries shopping, too. My wife actually says it's more comfortable then my previous car (2021 BMW 330i) and I must agree.

My first BMW. I have put nearly 50k miles on it in 1.5 years. The only problem I had is a single parking sensor failed around the 40k mark, easily replaced. I am hooked on BMWs now! Do wish that BMW offered more tech in the lower series models though. Best I can get in a 2-series is adaptive cruise control.
