So far, so good!
I purchased my A4 about a month ago after owning a '97 Lexus ES300. Wow, what a huge driving difference. While the ES was super smooth, it got a bit boring. The A4(3.0) has a great engine and is a blast to drive in the hills and mountains of West Virgina. Add to that the fact I got EXACTLY the options I wanted for well under Edmunds suggested fair value and I am quite satisfied.

Great buy!
Sport suspension is a little too hard. Fun to drive!
poor reliability
I am second generation Audi owner. I strongly doubt I would buy another. The reliability and resale value is poor at best.In addition I have had problem with power steering, been to two dealers, had it changed twice and still have problem. It could use a little more power as well.
BMW 330Ci to A4
Needed a four door - look at BMW 330i which seem to be over price by $6,000 for the same features BMW - Steer was more boosted and sharper turn in, brakes seem to be firmer. Audi more comfortable Better finish and through my usual corners as fast and sure footed Will be doing track time this summmer - so will see what lap times are. Winter driving in the rain (Seattle) a real plus. Gas milage down by 3 mpg - due to Quattro
