Horrible Experience with New 2023 MDX

I always wanted to purchase an Acura MDX. Finally, in September 2022, I purchased a 2023 brand new Acura MDX. Sadly within 3 months, the color on the passenger door started bubbling up. So took the car in and Acura repainted it. Then after 7 months of purchase, the backseat leather seat started peeling off. I do not even have passengers in the backseat that often - maybe 4 times since I bought it. So I took it back and am scheduled to replace the seat. My question is what happened to quality of these cars? I called Acura and Honda and asked for extension on my warranty because I plan to keep this car for a long time and that was denied. Acura offered me a $300 gift card!!!!!! The car was over $64,000 and all they offered is $300!! Basically, Acura does not stand behind their product. I asked to return the car but that period has passed. I consider this a joke and needles to say I do not recommend Honda or Acura at this point based on the response I am getting from them.

Problems @1,500 miles

This is my first Acura. "Love" the look, only "like" the car. At 1,500 miles my rear, right wheel sensor failed. Every light on the dash came on. Was told supply chain issues so can't get the replacement part for a month. Also, the car isn't extremely quiet. The tires are loud and road noise can be heard. Lastly, always had a problem with using my phone in the car. When I call out the other person gets echo sound. I've tried looking up how to remedy it but still no luck. Not the experience I expected for a $65k car.

MDX Elite 2023

Comfortable, stylish... Could use better tires. Biggest problem is the use of electronics. Not at all e-z to operate. Navigation is old. Found that 2023 model had 2020 map. when prompted to upgrade it turn out to be a major undertaking . Scraping all and using my google maps etc.

2023 MDX, WORST SUV EVER

So, I decided to purchase an Acura MDX 2023. Before I even made it back home, I noticed the panel was only partially attached to the driver's seat. I also noticed that the drive was a little jerky, but I chalked that up to the adaptive cruise. When I figured out how to drive on regular cruise; it did the same thing, constantly jerking. It is not a smooth ride at all. After a couple of days, I noticed the passenger's seat cover, yes, a cover, was unattached. The seat is leather, supposedly, but it has a clip on the left side to hold the cover down....smh. I also noticed the area right above the glove box, the leather is beginning to bubble. Also, around the hatch window on the outside, one gap is much larger than the other. The vehicle was returned to get these problems fixed. They fixed the seat, the gap is still around the window, they did nothing about the jerkiness, and the vehicle has to be returned about the bubbling leather.....RIDICULOUS!! This is a 56k vehicle, brand new; it should not have these problems. This tells you how much time and effort Acura/Honda puts into their vehicles. This will be my last Acura, and I will be trading it off as soon as I can. I would give it a negative rating if there was a choice.

Looks good but doesn’t perform like an Acura

I was initially very excited about this car. It looks nice and I like the space. But has sever al issues. The drive train is very jerky. The transmission doesn't release the gears quickly enough when you take your foot off the gas peddle. This feels like your car lurches forward or you are breaking when you release the gas. This isn't noticeable when on the highway so much as when driving in traffic. I had my car in service several times and the service department said this is due to the 10 speed transmission. I had one of their loaner MDX's for the day and that car drove the same way. It's awful. I've driven a Toyota Corolla that’s smaller / less expensive and drives better, a Yukon and a Infiniti which are much larger than the MDX and they were much more smoother. My MDX isn’t performing like previous Acura vehicles. Very disappointing as this was my first brand new vehicle. The breaks squeal very loudly, and are spongy at times. There is nothing they can do. Mercedes, BMW, Infiniti don't seem to have this issue. Service doesn't have a fix. The wireless charger will not work on the new iPhone 14. Acura is pointing the finger at Apple. Apple pointing the finger at Acura. The steering column groans when repositioning itself after the driver gets behind the wheel. Service said they are aware of this and it's the motor. Nothing they can do. Over all, the car looks great. It's very roomy and comfortable. But all the other issues make it a terrible car to own. I'm tired of the issues with no resolution or compliancy because it's how it's designed. I’m looking to trade and get a different brand vehicle.
