Nothing wrong with the 2012 batch. Volvo starts building the next model year around the first of the year and introduces them in early spring. So 2013's go into production early in 2012.
we changed our mind and wanted to buy a new xc90 instead. we were told by dealers that Volvo stops building 2012 and will accept orders for 2013 xc90. but it is still 2011 now. makes me wonder if there is something going on with the 2012 batch. any thoughts? Thanks.
Hello there. I desperately need some advise. I own a 2005 Volvo XC90 purchased in 2009 in NJ. It wasn't bought from a Volvo dealership so I don't know if I am covered in anything. As many of you there, my transmission gave out at 86,000 miles and tech at Volvo Dealership insisted that I need a new transmission which will cost about $7000. I didn't know that this type of ... Hello all, I'm very new to this but wanted to ask some advice. I bought my preowned 2005 xc90 (at 44,000miles) from a volvo dealership in boston in 2009. They assured me that everything had been checked and serviced in the car when I bought it. I've had it serviced there for the past two years. Today I had gone on a road trip when at 63,000 my transmission urgent service ... Read More

I had the same problem with my wife's 2009 XC90 and paid for an alignment. The truck was barely out of alignment but the wear was pretty bad. The other tires are good and I didn't want to shell out $900 for just 2 Michelin tires that would barely last ... Read More

Sorry I missed your point about buying CPO. However, a used CPO car isn't the same as a brand new car so its hard to compare, but lets try to break down the differences between leasing new (2009) vs. buying CPO (2007) over 4 years: First, you'll spend more on maintenance on a CPO (assume $500-$1000/year?) x 4 years = $2000-$4000. Not really, if you're comparing leasing new vs CPO, the money factors, residuals and monthly payments on a CPO would be much worse, so the CPO payments would likely be higher than new car payments. Independent banks don't like to finance leases for cars that would be 5-8 years old when ... Read More

Hey stim. Volvo Finance's numbers for a 24 month, 10,500 mile per year lease of an '08 XC90 V8 are .00001 and 52%, respectively. Volvo does not appear to be providing any lease support on the '09 XC90 V8. The only 2009 XC90 that has a special Volvo Finance program available on it is the base V6 model. Really... the Highlander has a .00001 m.f.? That's hard to beat and the Volvo guy I spoke with said the m.f. was in the .00252 range. Mentioned waiting for the 2009s for better residuals (oh yes, those weren't good either) but how are they going to move the 08s with numbers like these? Still trying to decide myself... looking at xc90, highlander and odyssey (i know). Cheers!
2007 Fuel consumption records (gas pump) for 2007 Volvo XC90 3.2 FWD, purchased April, 2007. Note: Mpg values of 16 mpg and below were for the entire tank consumed on very short urban trips. The higher mpg for 2008 could be real improvement after breakin, but is more likely due to a smaller proportion of very short urban trips and changes in driving practices in an attempt to get the best ... I emailed several dealers in my area (central jersey) for a 08 XC90 w/ premium, versatility, and climate packages (MSRP of $45,200) and got the best 1st quote from Bridgewater Volvo and Volvo of Edison. They gave me a price of 35,000 which included the volvo loyalty and manufactor rebates. How much more do you think I can shave off from this price? I know the 2009's are coming in very ... Read More
Hi nvnick1. Lexus Financial Services' April buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2009 Lexus RX 350 AWD without the entertainment system with 12,000 miles per year are .00190 and 62%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its Tier 1+ credit tier. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00190 and 56%. For the sake of comparison, Volvo Finance's current ... Read More
Do you consider a 281hp turbocharged I6 a "major change"? You don't know and Volvo ain't saying. That engine is coming for the XC60. If it was coming for the XC90, chances are I would have heard by now. So, I doubt that it will. The reason why it probably won't is that it really doesn't get any better gas mileage than the V8,and it doesn't have the power and torque ... Read More
Does anyone know what Volvo plans for the 09 models of the XC90? Anything new or exciting being added or changed? I'd love to see the back-up camera and bluetooth being integrated -- is that a pipe dream?? Honda has the vtec site for enthusiasts -- is there anything similar for Volvo?
