  • Re: Fully Loaded 2011 [famouspaint]

We purchased our 2005 QX56 from Infiniti dealer near Kings Island. Did the deal over the phone and traded in our Expedition at a good price. I thought that dealer, at that time, was very good. With all that said, INFINITI is no Lexus. I have a Lexus and valet service for maintenance is available wherever you brought the car. Also many of the dealer perks are NOT dealer specific. People ... I am so sorry. My QX56 was my third Infiniti and was sold on them. The first two never cost me a dime over routine maintenance. The QX56 required too many trips to the dealership between maintenance, recalls, and other problems. The problems were never cheap, but never cost me that much at one time. I just recently traded my 2006 in for a MB 350 Bluetec and could not be ... Read More

Yesterday I signed papers for a brand new 2010 QX56 which I will take delivery of tomorrow. It is fully-loaded, MSRP $62,960. Went to dealership with Overstock.com price $49,664 for vehicle without tech pkg (had MSRP of $61,810). I did not want the tech pkg but since the dealership could not get a vehicle w/o it they took another $500 off the price of the vehicle (price of that option is ... Read More

The early model years (2004 and 2005) were horrible as Nissan had major quality control issues in their new Mississippi plant. The more recent model years have been much better, but they still are far away from having the best frequency of repair records. Just look at Consumer Reports. Have you considered a Sequoia? Not as upscale a name plate as an Infiniti, but if you look at the Platinum model ... Read More

I know that brake systems and fuel systems are quite different functionally, however I have had a similar problem with my brakes for about 3 years - brakes make nose when pushed, brake and ABS ... I recently purchased a used (8100 miles) 2005 Infinity QX56 from the local Infinity dealership. Not one time have I regretted this decision. Not once! I looked at the 2007 Tahoe, Yukon Denali, Escalade, and the Lexus GX470. Neither of these trucks can compare to the QX56. Thats pretty close to what I normally get on the highway. City driving usually around 12-14. For the record this is my second and last Q. I have had some of the same problems which plagued my 2004. • Deals on QX 56

Written by: thomastrain on Feb 26, 2006 5:57:39 AM

Just purchased a 2005 QX 56. Infiniti is offering $3000 cash to dealer (not sure how long this is running or if this is specific to QX56). Some dealers are advertising $7500 off MSRP using this cash to dealer to pass on to buyers. I was able to get $8000 off on a non demo 2005 on their last 2005. I would negotiate more for demos. Good luck.

Dedoman, Unless they have significantly improved the quality, I would not recommend buying the QX56. Maybe they have improved quality for the 2005 model year. I bought mine in December 2004 (built 9/2004). The current problem I am having is not related to the rotors. That was fixed (hopefully). It is a brake cylinder issue.
