Driving the Viper is an absolutely incomparable inxperience. Nothing close to this price range is even remotely as gorgeous or as much fun to drive. Power and performance are unmatched. The amount of attention you get everywhere you take this car is unbelievable. Short of dropping a quarter million dollars on Lamborghini, Ferrari or some other hyper-exotic, there is nothing at all like this. The $80,000 price tag is a steal considering the power, performance and looks of this car. Plus the Viper name is legendary. Mustangs and Corvettes are ubiquitous, nobody cares when they see those. The car's touchy handling and huge noisy engine aren't for everyone, but I love everything about it.
500 horsepower. 500 ft lb of torque. Massive 8.3L V10 with unmistakable personality. Styling that draws stares from everyone, even non-car enthusiasts. The same girl who was snoring when you drove by in that blasé Porsche/'Vette/BMW will be gawking open- mouthed when you pull up in this.
Gas mileage, though decent considering the size of the engine, can put a strain on your wallet. Interior is a little spartan, though a big step up from the '92 model. but who cares anyway? This car was made to drive, not camp in. Pricey upkeep ($1500 tires, $70 oil change). definitely worth it.
