I've only had this vehicle for a week or two but I am amazed by the overall package of this vehicle. I did a lot of research and test drove a lot of vehicles in this class (Equinox, CR-V, RAV-4, Edge, CX-7) and none could compare to the Tiguan. It might be a little on the pricey side but trust me, you are getting your money's worth.

Loving it

I had to trade in my Audi A4 for something a bit more family-friendly, but that wasn't a boat. The Tiguan fit the bill nicely, with just enough room to get the kids in without adding too much mass. The handling and acceleration are better than most of its class, certainly much better than the CR-V. The Audi Q5 definitely outpaces the Tiguan, but it comes with a much higher price. If you're looking for a sporty SUV ride that gives you a bit more room and ground clearance, this is a good choice. If you want something to haul a lot of cargo, though, you may be disappointed.

Nice looking car but most unreliable

I bought this car for my wife and we started having issue with it after 4 years. We had to fix the water pump twice (more than 1200$ each time) wehad to fix the clutch 3000$ repair. Stay away from this car. I can't trust it anymore with my wife and kids.

Beware of the Tiguan engines

Needs new engine ($6000-$8500) after only 110,000 miles... seems to be a thing with these... google tiguan timing chaing. Also had numerous panoramic roof leaks, engine needed to be "de-carbed," and the rear main seal fix was $1600... because a $100 part failed. That part should be replaced every year to skip the rear main seal failure.
