2022 Nissan Frontier
Just took delivery on a Frontier 4x4 SV Crew Cab (short bed) with "Convenience" and "Technology pages. Paid (true) MSRP. Drive train is excellent, plenty of horsepower and torque. Ride is comfortable, but plenty of "road feel" from the suspension. Steering is electronic ("fly-by-wire") I think which is fine on curves where there is constant feedback from the centripetal force. On a … perfect straightaway, it requires constant very small movements of the steering wheel to stay on course. (This seems true of many electronic steering systems.)
The automatic transmission is satisfactory, but another "improvement" car makers are doing -- more gears is not necessarily better. It's fine during normal driving at various speeds, but when at highway speeds and you floor the accelerator to pass a vehicle, it sometimes seems to drop into too low a gear and race the RPMs and then in a short time find an appropriate gear. My 2008 Frontier 4x4 SV King Cab was much "tighter" in shifting gears to pass.
