Lovely little undiscovered road beast

2016 Dodge Dart
We purchased our '16 Dart GT during the "model clearance sale" in March of '17, replacing our trusty but dying '02 Mazda Protege 5. It was quite the culture shock for us moving from a basic entry level hauler to 2.4L 6 sp automatic w/autostick electronic controls & navigation.
We chose Dodge after testing Kia, Honda & Volkswagon because of ride quality & design cues. We felt like … those other makes were taking design
inspiration from "The Transformers". The 8.4 inch screen was far larger than any of it's competitors of the day. It's easy enough to figure out, even if it's voice recognition is less than spectacular. Quite frustrating whenever you want to dictate an address for navigation purposes. So we enter any destination when necessary while parked. Updates to the software haven't improved voice recognition at all, but have keep the road improvements up to date.
We've had very few issues with the car, our problems arise with our local dealership, so we get our maintenance done elsewhere. Dealership've been slow to handle the handful of recalls on this vehicle. Elsewise we're really happy with its comfortable seats, very peppy engine & lack of headaches during our 78,000 miles thus far. It's got more than enough get up & go power to get our hearts racing now & again. Sort of a shame Dodge dropped this from it's line up. We hope it's the last car we ever need to purchase.
