Best Car Ever!
I got my license in 2003 and got a 1991 Toyota Corolla from my grandpa. I liked the car so much that I bought my own 2006 Corolla LE with the intent to keep it for as long as I could. I was not disappointed. I have had the car for 7 years now and cannot complain. The only things I had to change on this car was wear and tear. I also had the ECU replaced under warranty as well. I think this is a great car that is cheap to maintain and drive. I have put 140,000 miles on it so far and am planning on going 300,000+ without any issues.
My Energizer Bunny - Toyota Corolla
Drive it first. The noise level is pretty high. That said, things that matter more to me are this car's strong suits. The gas mileage is phenomenal. It is STILL getting 32 or so mpg, and we drive back roads more than highways. It's got a lot of miles, but just goes and goes and goes. We do maintain the oil changes religiously. We were told not to bother tuning it up as long as the mileage is so good, so we'll do one when/if that starts to fall. We did replace the belt (there's only one for everything). It didn't cost that much. We've kept good tires on it. If you care for it, it'll care for you.

Great Corolla
I got my Corolla with 60,000 miles on it about 4 years ago. It now has 145,000 miles on it. This car has never left me stranded and always starts. Only really needed oil changes since I got it, other than tires. With the 5-speed manual, it is a surprisingly fun car to drive. It is pretty light and can take corners exceptionally well for what it is. I get around 37 mpg mixed hard city and highway miles. No one wants to like the car, but it's surprisingly great. Get a manual transmission and you will not be disappointed.

Great Car,Primer on hood not Good
Bought my 2006 in Oct.of '05, I love my Corolla ,got 200,000 on it and no problems at all except the hood paint not good, but besides that nothing but regular upkeep, oil changes ect. Ice cold air (not been serviced)and running like a Champ. Still gets 34-35 mpg combined.

Excellent vehicle
I have owned my Corolla for two months. It is an excellent vehicle for driving around town. I haven't taken it on a long trip yet, but 30 miles on the highway felt fine. Seating and steering wheel positioning is a bit tricky, but I found a position I'm happy with. I definitely like the feel of driving it, it handles nicely, and feels secure. The seats on the LE have a nice soft feel. The heating and A/C work great. The gas mileage so far has been similar to rated mileage - about 30 in overall driving (drive up hills a lot). I got the LE for invoice which I was happy about. A couple of small things - car dings pretty easily, and a very annoying seat belt ding. Otherwise very happy.
