I bought my corolla new in 2004. She was totaled a little less than a month ago with 130+ miles on her. I believe I replaced the tires maybe 2 to 3 times in the 7 yrs I had her. The brakes I replaced once in 2006. I never had to put her in the shop for anything other than usual maintenance. I had 1 battery replacement in 2010. I would recommend to anyone...very good car.

This is an amazing car. I must admit that, in my opinion, is not a good looking car at all, but if you are looking for a good, dependable car, this is it. In 90k miles I only changed the factory battery -after 5 years- the serpentine belt and water pump that was on warranty, so didn't pay for it. Other than that, oil change, filters and one set of brake pads + resurface rotors. That's it. (Note: The good thing about this car is that it does not have a timing belt, it comes with a chain instead, hence, not needing a costly replacement. It also comes with disc brakes ONLY in the front, hence, maintenance is way cheaper). The ergonomics inside are not the best, but all in all, great car.

We bought a 2002 Corolla and drove it on a 1000 mile vacation trip. It was fantastic. No road fatigue and cruise control got us home in great time. After 2 years, we traded this car in on a 2004 Corolla and all I can say is great handling, great ride, great power, great service and great reliability and looks. The steering is nice and tight, even on the 2002 after 37000 miles, the steering was as good as the day we bought the car. We also got a good trade for our 2002. Buy it, you'll like it...

I bought this car new in 2004. Other than basic maintenance, I have had to do nothing to it. Shooting for 300,000.

I will always love you Rolly

After owning a car that cost more in maintenance in a few years than the purchase price, this Corolla was an island of calm in a sea of expenses. I genuinely feel like no matter what happens for the rest of my life, I will never have a car I loved as much as this one. I didn't put alot of miles on Rolly for a few years, but she was always waiting for me to come start her up and take her out! Literally gas and oil, brakes a few times and a few sets of tires. 15 and a half years of absolutely no problems. Alas, time and the elements took their toll on Rolly. With only 115,000 miles, the exterior was starting to show its age, weather stripping on the windows was peeling away, rust spots forming from scratches etc...nothing caused by the car itself, just the passage of time. It was at a point where fixing all of that, getting new brakes etc to pass state inspection could have just been a down payment on a new car, which is exactly what I did. So, if you are out there crushed into a little cube somewhere Rolly, I will always love you, and I am sorry that we had to part. I know she would have given me many more years if I opted to try. I hope my new 2020 hybrid version (Electric Rolly!) can even begin to live up to standard you have indelibly etched in my mind!
