2004 Corolla
Owned a 97 Geo Prizm before and didn't hesitate to buy a 04 Corolla. Unfortunately I did not test drive it close enough. Major problem with steering wheel too close to dash, and an ackward seat/floor. This has resulted in personal left foot problems (I've called "Toyota foot"). Also problem with rotten egg smell while ideling at a stop. Need to inform passengers that it's the car "not me".
GET YOUR MONEY BACK
THE 2004 TOYOTA COROLLA S IS A CHEAP CAR. MY BELT AND SOME OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE ALREADY HAVE HAD THEIR BELT SNAP IN HALF- VERY DANGEROUS... THE TOTAL DESIGN CAN EASILY BE DENTED AND SCRATCHED AND THE SMELL OF THE EGGS AND THE NOISE IS VERT ANNYOING. MY CAR IS ALREADY GETTING LEMON LAWED, AND TOYOTA PEOPLE ARE NOT FRIENDLY LIKE THEY USED TO BE, THEY TREAT YOU WITH NO RESPECT, AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR MONEY, NOR CAR....
Hmmmm......Toyota I got a bad one!!!!
Car has it's good and bads...great heat/AC, brakes, fuel econ. But, my car has had soooooo many little quality issues I have lost count. Door seals replaced, stero bezel replaced, lights,etc.etc.etc I think I got a Monday morning car becuase I seem to be the only unsatisfied Toyota owner in the world.
Built to Last
Purchased new with 17 miles on Odo. Currently at 74K miles. The main electrical fuse blew once when car new cutting out all electrical. Replaced in no time by dealership. Car has never needed even a single repair since other than oil changes and new tires. Only two things will survive the end of the world. Cockroaches and Corollas. Seats not supportive for O/N driving. Otherwise nothing to complain, everything to applaud. This is what a car should aspire to be.
Wears out quick
Bought car with 10k on it. 1st week plastic piece inside broke didn't even touch it. Car was very reliable, not much maintenance, but was getting very, very used feeling at about 65k, then at 74k transmission went! This was on a manual. Never had a tranny go in my life. Other cars have been driven to 150k plus never had to replace tranny. Oh well disappointed in Toyota. Gas mileage was good though. Also Windows rattled a little from 20k on.
