Used 2007 Toyota Camry Solara SLE V6 2dr Convertible (3.3L 6cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Absolutely Red Convertable
I've owned this Red 2007 Toyota Solara convertible since 2012. I bought it used as a one owner car with approximately 63K miles. It's a very comfortable car once you get into it. It now has almost 134K miles and shows no sign of stopping form being a great little car. I only have a few complains and these are very minor in scope. First, the doors are huge and you must always be aware of how close you park to the car next to you. Second and lastly, when it rain water drips down form where the convertible top meets the windshield pillar. This leads to water dripping on your clothes in an unflattering manner. Minor I know but complaints nevertheless. Maintenance has been as expected with a Toyota. They are built to last and cheap to operate over the life of the car. Who could ask for more? $2000 to fix the head lights?
The problems that are popping up are rather disappointing. We have a 2007 Toyota Solara convertible with HID head lights. The head lights work when you first turn them on but one goes out after 10 seconds and the other goes out after about 20 minutes. I was floored when they stated the bulbs were $368.00 each, and they did not stock them. I went to an auto parts store and purchased a bulb for $89.00 but it did not fix the problem. I took it to the dealer to repair the lights when they informed us that it would cost $2000 to repair the system and it was not covered as our car has 40,000 miles on it and I voided because I put in an after market bulb. The problem has not been fixed yet.

Love my Solara Convertible
I love the car. Very fun to drive. The top goes up and down easy and fast. One negative is that the passenger seat is not automatically adjustable and is not as comfortable. I did not notice this when I bought it. Gas mileage is about 17 miles to the gallon. The car handles well but sometimes going around a corner fast it seems to lose grip on the road a little. I would buy this car again. Looks great and seats 4 adults easy.
2007 Solara Convertible SLE
I've been driving it for three years, crossed Canada once in it and it has never let me down. In terms of service, only scheduled maintenance.
Solara has been the best
Great car, rides well, No major repairs. Usual maintenance. Only issue has been the CD player which died after 9 years. Lots of fun and reliable. Finally traded the car in during 2017. was like losing an old friend but tires exhaust system and convertible top were looking like they were going to need to be replaced after 11 years and about 160,000 miles, so a decision had to be made.
