Bought in 2018 for my kid's first car. Had 93K and was meticulously cared for by the prior owner and had few repairs beyond maintenance. Has 117K on it now and the entire family loves it for its utility and performance in the snow. We had to replace the exhaust system which I did myself for $500 in parts. Was a simple job as is many maintenance tasks on this car. It is quirky though. Any time battery is disconnected the car has to go through an annoying relearn process but it gets there and runs great. Evap code comes up intermittently as well.. Hit a deer a day ago and the car got a little banged up but held up remarkably well. Its also surprisingly smooth, comfortable and quiet. The 140HP motor is a pleasure to drive. For $3500 we got an excellent reliable vehicle

It was an act of desperation that I bought my 2008 Suzuki sedan. If my van had not blown up, I would have never considered a Suzuki, didn't even know they made cars. I went to a "buy here pay here" car lot and took a test drive $2400. and 30 min later I was the #4 proud owner of a Suzuki, that was 2018 and it had 140k then and now 189k and going strong. It has had one tune up right after I first got it, that set me back $45 for parts, and it has had 4 oil changes. I drove this car from Pensacola Fl to Las Vegas Nv, without a problem. This is one of the best cars I have ever owned, the seat belt bell is loud, a little too loud and when I bought it, I thought I won't have it long, it was a throw away. Wrong. it small and uncomfortable at times but it's a keeper, because when our new fancy car won't start, the Suzuki always does. We'll keep it till the wheels fall off.

Engine blew after 54,000 miles

I went on a trip to Colorado and on the way there my engine made a lout noise and smoke came out. Later after a $500 tow to Denver they said the piston rod went right through the engine block. They tried to sell me another Suzuki as they said it wasn’t through warranty because the oil changes weren’t done through Suzuki. Well at that one there were no Suzuki dealers left in Wisconsin to do and oil change.
