Hunk of Junk / ZERO LOVE

These cars were put together with junk CVT transmissions. Transmissions were so bad that even Subaru acknowledged their mistake and replaced a lot of them with just another junk CVT transmission. They also put an extended warranty on those they didn't replace right away such as mine. But because the previous owner did not act on the offer from Subaru, now I'm stuck with this pile of junk. Called Subaru.. They say yes it is junk but our offer expired. WOW Oh by the way, all of you legacy owners that experienced the drive line shutter/vibration at speeds over 50mph ?? Yup, that to was the CVT transmission. That came from a very reputable Subaru service manager near me but because he was honest and upfront about it, Im not going to throw him under the bus. I just know now after giving Subaru a 2nd chance (my 1st one was a Forester that I was constantly chasing oil leaks on) that I would never look at another Subaru ever. They are a wanna-be high quality Japanese car company that can't even come close and have failed customers in so many ways. Would give zero stars if I could. How many Toyotas have had years of faulty head gaskets before a correction was made ? None. How many Toyotas have to go in for an "Oil consumption test" ? None Don't do it, don't by a Subaru. You will be sorry.

Wheel Shake

Mike, 11/24/2009
2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium 4dr Sedan AWD (2.5L 4cyl CVT)

Update on the 2010 Legacy with wheel shake and constant correction needed to keep the car straight. Weeks later and the dealer has advised me that other 2010 Legacy owners are coming into the dealer with the same wheel shake and highway drift problem but that Subaru Corp has not found the fix. I'm in the process of seeking legal recourse to return the car. For those owners who don't have this problem consider yourself lucky. For potential buyers consider this car with caution and be warned that the test car did not have the problem.

Side molding between the tires

Has anyone else had problems with the side molding between the tires coming off? Mine has came off 4 times this week! It's frustrating. To think we paid a lot of money for a car thats gonna fall apart! I love the car & its features, but I am completely unhappy w/this problem! If we would have known it when we bought it we wouldn't have!

Never buy a Subaru, they don't last.

Updating my review. They still are horrible... I'm a 63 year old grandmother. I bought a Subaru and it had consistent problems. The eletrical wires needed to be replaced with no success. The AC was leaking. Water in the interior of the car. A break pad even feel out of the car. And after 8 years of easy driving and regular maintenance. The engine is totalled. An 8 year old car and it's no better then scrap metal. Subaru offered $1,000 discount towards a new subrau. Who would ever buy another car from this company after what my mother went through. Subarus are PoS never buy a Subaru unless. You want to throw your money away.

I finally "get" the Subaru commercials..

Wow. After spending MONTHS test driving and flipping back and forth between the Honda Accord EX-L & Toyota Camry, I decided that I wasn't really in love with either of them and looked for something "more". I definitely found it in my Subaru GT. All the options... leather, sunroof, turbo, bluetooth, etc. plus Subaru safety & reliability. Tons of leg room in the front AND back, and interior quality is outstanding. The leather is better quality than our Acura! Trunk is large, but the opening is narrow... getting our stroller in & out can be tricky.
