My 2007 Saturn Aura

At first, I did not think I would be driving a Saturn. I test drove so many cars in the $40,000 range, from BMW, Lexus, Audi, and Mercedes. For the money, I found my Aura to stand right up there with them, as far as performance and style. It has the bells and whistles of any of those cars and more. The car looks rich, feels rich, is sporty and conservative at the same time. I love my Aura.

If price, performance, and standard features are important to you, you owe it to yourself to drive an Aura. You'd have to spend around $45,000 to get anywhere near what you get as standard equipment on this American made car for around $25,000. I recommend the XR-the XE is around $1500 cheaper but at this price, go for the gold. If you are considering a Toyota, VW, or Honda, check this car before you make a mistake. The Aura puts them to shame. And I've owned one of each. If you think you can get a 6 cyl. engine, leather interior, sun roof, OnStar,8 speaker sound system, rear seat radio,18" alloy wheels, remote engine start and power everything for less, go for it.

I have to start by saying this was the worst car I've ever owned. I purchased it in 2010 just 3 years old and within the first 3 months the problems started. The car only had 45k miles on it and the transmission crapped the bed. I did purchase a power tran 3rd party warranty so I wasn't to worried. I had the car sent to a specialist and had it back a week later. Everything seemed fine until I lost the transmission a second time one week later. Back to specialist it went but this time. They replaced the transmission with a used one rather than rebuilding it a second time. Once again I got the car back and it seemed fine. Just 9 months later I parked the car after returning from work with no issue until the following morning when I tried to leave again. The car wouldn't start. I had it sent to a Saturn tech who advised me the timing belt ( or chain not sure) broke and the motor was junk. I couldn't believe it. I was so sure he was wrong I sent the car for a second opinion yet the outcome was the same. The motor had to be replaced, and the kicker to the whole thing was the warranty company this time refused to pay. They instead reimbursed me 60% of the warranty cost because they had to pay for the transmission. When everything was all said and dont I spend 4k dollars putting a new motor in the car. The day I got the car back I took it straight to a dealer and traded it in. I did like the look of the car, the power it had and some of the interior features but overall it was a terrible purchase and one I would never forget.

Amazing Car For Price

I have found the Aura to be beyond the Camry, Accord, and Altima, even if they were at the same price, which they aren't. I didn't like the Altima as much for steering, although the engine is at or beyond the Aura in some refinement aspects, and Camry for ride and road noise. The Aura is more quiet, has better steering feedback, and more tight suspension and seating. Only thing that needs attention is a rear center armrest, move high mounted stoplight to top of rear window, and improve quality of rear seat cupholder.

I bought this car used in spring 2011 had 50,000 miles on it and I have over 90,000 on it now, I loved it at 1st, drove really nice and smooth, but being over 90,000 i'm not liking it so much, it already getting rusty on the trunk lid, took it to the dealer ship and said that it would keep coming back after they fix it cause of how the design is, it would keep collecting salt and what not from the road. And the car is pretty noise when your going a certain speed on the interstate, the rotors make noise and shakes. And they could of made the inside alot better.. I've been trying to sell it/trade it in.. but happen to owe to much on it.. but when I owe lesser on it, I'm so gonna get rid of it.
