Used 2017 Ram 1500 Consumer Reviews
Disappointed Loyal customer
I purchased my truck October 2017 with 474 miles on the odometer. MSRP was about 53,000 dollars. I put down 6,000 dollars and right after my purchase I invested money on after market accessories. Bed liner , mud flaps ,Tints, bug guard, etc . Not long after this I discovered many flaws with the paint. Even rust bubbles on the roof of the truck . After contacting Ram customer service i went to the auto body shop of the same dealer that sold me the truck . The dealer body shop estimate was closed to 10,000 dollars . Ram give me the choice to repaint the entire truck . Truck was repainted at approximately 3300 miles on the odometer. Approximately 5500 Transmission was reset due to not shifting properly. Around the same mileages on the odometer the step bar were replaced due to rust coming through. A/C -heater blower was replaced due to making noises. Right manifold screws were replaced due to braking .3rd light brake was replaced due to seal damage that cause water to come inside the truck and cause water damages . Water pump was replaced due to a leak. Over head lamp has been replaced twice due to going out .My truck had been in the dealer about 8-9 times for key fob problem. Till this day the dealer or Ram had been able to found out the problem . The dealer had changed parts but the problem continues . A lot of times when I get in the truck and turned on the instrumental panel display (key fob has left the vechile) even tho the key is near and About 3 recalls . Prior to buying this truck I owned 3 Rams 1500, a Dodge Durango , a dodge stratus, and I currently own a 2018 Dodge Journey too. I’m a disappointed Loyal customer.

Awesume Truck
I have only 5600miles on the truck so far. To date, it has met all of my wants. The night visibility is great even in rain storms. The ride is comfortable, but road noise is greater than I had expected, louder than my 2012 Ram Bighorn. Handling is very good except when making sharp turns on wet pavement.

2017 Rebel Hemi 8 year Update
After 8 years (original owner) the Rebel has reached 18,900 miles, low since it is primarily our tow vehicle). It serves as the primary camping vehicle to tow our Grand Design camper (4-5k weight). The most recent trip of 450 miles averaged 9 mpg with limited traffic and 8.5 with constant stop and go. The adjustable height option makes hitching more convenient, the Ram Boxes frees up space on the interior, and the ride is very comfortable. Even towing, the power of the Hemi makes road travel easy with the load. Overall, the Ram is still like new. It has the original tires and has only needed one item - a new battery. After considering options, the best replacement seemed to be an Interstate rated for the Ram/5.7. In 2017 I purchased the “lifetime warranty” for this truck during the last year it was offered by Chrysler so I won’t be trading the Rebel anytime soon. Due to gas prices now, the Family “running around” purpose now goes to the new hybrid van so the Ram is a towing and hunting vehicle. Off road use for hunting is another very positive with the Ram Boxes for secure storage and the bed with divider. I have added a basic bed cover that keeps the bed dry. Off road, the adjustable height makes field and rutted road travel easy. The tires are the secret to grip and perform well in all conditions thus far. Space for gear is a big plus. Current snowfall in the region has been minimal and thus no problem for the Ram in fwd. I have considered the trade value and find $26k (sight unseen) to be too low to consider. This Rebel is still equal to any newer model. We are still very satisfied with the purchase and performance of this RAM.

I'm shocked!
I have been a GM guy for a very long time and when driving the new GM/Chevy trucks then the dodge, I was blown away. It's such a better truck and has more room, bigger motor, and more bang for the buck.

Great buy! IT IS A 5.7 HEMI NOT A 6 CYL
I now have 55000 miles on truck and still running great. Getting on avg 19 in town and 23 on hwy. Now I admit that I do not have a lead foot.It has a 5.7 hemi not the V6 as shown below doesn't offer that option to choose from. Lord knows why?
