Used 2013 Nissan Rogue Consumer Reviews
Wish I didn't trade!
I own a 2013 Rogue that I bought used. I traded in a Subaru to save money. What an idiot I was! There is a noise in engine and vibration that when I asked they said that's normal (?), without checking it out! I live in the mountains and there is no pick up even in low going up the inclines. I am hopeful that Nissan has worked on these issues since and their newer model have come out but you should check it out.

A comfortable SUV
We bought the Nissan Rogue for two reasons: Very high safety and reliability ratings (why buy a car that doesn't have these?) and exceptionally comfortable. seats. Our other SUV is a Honda CRV, which is a bit bigger, and we needed the size for family trips. The two cars were equal in safety and reliability, but the CRV had a slight edge in many small convenience areas (no center console in the 2011 model, more cup holders, more cargo space, more flexible interior generally), which made us willing to live with its excruciatingly uncomfortable seats. (Really, Honda, get with it on seating. The Internet agrees that Honda seats have been uncomfortable for ages.) Anyway, the Rogue has seating like a dream, with proper support for your lower back. Plus, it includes variable speeds for the intermittent wipers, which the Honda (inexplicably) lacks. We've had this vehicle for about 8 months now, without a single issue or concern. It handles wonderfully, and is our go-to vehicle for local trips. To improve this vehicle Nissan could shrink or eliminate the front row console, which leaves you with no where to put a purse, and offer some interior colors other than gray/black, but overall, we love it. I have very long legs, and there's plenty of leg room.

Transmission Gave Out Way Too Soon!
I have never been a huge fan of Nissans but my wife had purchased her 2013 Nissan Rogue prior to us meeting. She loved the vehicle, but I was not a fan. I felt that the seats were very uncomfortable, and it seemed like there were always little things here and there that needed to be fixed/replaced. At 112,000 miles, the transmission gave out without a warning. There was no check engine light or any other indication that something was wrong. It just locked down while she was driving it. We had it towed to a local mechanic and he said the transmission had given out. I was shocked that it had died at only 112k miles but he stated it was fairly common with this vehicle. After $4000, we had a new transmission. Within a month, while driving down a highway, the vehicle hit a small patch of ice, lost control, and slid off the road hitting a guard rail. The side airbags went off and thankfully all of us in the vehicle were completely unharmed. Out insurance declared it a total loss and I was grateful to be done with it. I just wished we had crashed it before wasting $4000 on a new transmission.

Perfect price, Great looks and Cool features for the price!
I am 28 and this is the 19th new car I have owned. I have had everything from a 2 seater smart car to a crew cab full size pick up truck with cars from basic to luxury fully loaded. My 18th new car was a fully loaded 2010 Nissan Cube which was a GREAT car and has made me a loyal Nissan owner now. The price to maintane the vehicle is cheaper then its other Japanese competitors. This little SUV has enough pep to keep you happy with the great fuel economy that is truely hard to achieve in this class of vehicle. I have the FWD SV with premium package. I test drove this in 12" of unplowed parking lot snow and it plowed right through it!
