Since I've ever driven a car I've always had a luxury car Mercedes Lexus Jaguar Bentley Cadillac Porsche and etcetera had to downgrade because of loss of contract after years of working. Have to buy something so I bought the Nissan Maxima I was depressed even buying but after the next two days I was so impressed of how it drive and The Styling after the next week I fell in love with the car all my friends Drive luxury cars I visit them all the time and they have driven the car now everybody wants one. A friend of mine had a Mercedes E-Class and after his lease believe it or not he traded it in for a Maxima premium. Now I am back to work and got me a new contract and I refuse to get rid of this car I am very impressed that handles well and I will not get rid of this car. Thinking about getting another one in the next two years

Great looking car with eye catching design. A feel of quality inside and out. A little to be desired in the sensing features if you have been used to them from another vehicle. You will get a kick out of the acceleration in sport mode.

Best car you can't afford to fix

Looking4New Ride, 11/21/2023
2016 Nissan Maxima Platinum 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Nissan has obviously adopted the Land Rover, Jaguar, BMW business model of building great cars that fall apart and you can't afford to fix them. Broken clip that pulls the sunroof shut - $327 + more that that for labor. Adaptive cruise control module - $2000 to replace. Check with anyone who has had to fix their Nissan and see what they have paid. Even the dealer's parts guy responded, "whoa, that's a lot". And yes, Nissan makes the list of cars returned or sold within the first year.

Rock Solid

I bought this car in October, 2015 after seeing it on the road. I now have 136K miles on it and, with 1 exception, the car has been literally perfect. You might read about the CVT and some complains about it. There is something called a 'jutter' which is a kind of hesitation or 'bucking' that can occur. Almost as if you are in a manual transmission car that is left in 5th gear as you slow down to a stop light. I noticed it around 20K miles. I took it to Nissan and they replaced the 'throttle body'...my guess is the early models had a faulty design. Since that time, it has NEVER had the problem. As for the rest of the car, it's been perfect. I have LITERALLY no squeeks whatsoever. It's been perfect. I'm not sure why they don't hold their value very well, I think it's a steal on the used market. No matter, 100% satisfied with my Max.

Great machine 2016 SL

This is my first maxima and I am very much impressed by it's performance and fuel economy. After reading some of these negative reviews I am at a loss at how they came to say they got poor gas mileage or there was inadequate power, etc. Obviously these people either don't know how to drive their machines or are never satisfied with anything. If they were rating a Rolls Royce it would obviously have a multitude of faults!
