All around truck
I got a NISSAN PRO-4X USED 2011 with 28K on it. I was debating between Tacoma or Frontier. But Tacomas always over priced. I had a 2005 Tacoma before and I never like it. Aside from being expensive, it was underpowered and doesn't look good. I did do a lot or research in getting this truck. After all the thorough article reading, youtube watching and online reviews surfing. I ended up with 2 options - TACOMA or FRONTIER. Tried Toyota first but again, they were overpriced and won't negotiate. They won't compromise with the price. So I ended going for the NISSAN PRO 4X and boy I wasn't wrong. I did test drive it and first thing I felt was the sturdiness of the truck. It feels like it's well built. The look of the PRO 4X is superb. The sound system is above great. The subwoofer under the back seat was a great idea. The power and torque is great! The ride height is excellent. It's a well sized truck. You can squeeze in through a tight parking and still have power to haul a heavy load. They offered me extended warranty for 5 years/100K. With it, I'll be worry-free for 5 years. I was very impressed. So I took it home. After driving it for a week. I added 1000K. I loved it even more. It is an honest truck. What you see it what you get. It's outdated but it delivers. No BS gadgets. You only get what you need. It gets the job done. They could have improved the MPG rating but hey, it's a truck. I do a lot of home improvements and honey-do list and it's been great so far. The bed extender is a great addition. The tie down cleats work great. I drove it on the highway and it can go fast.. really fast!. I'm a Nissan guy now. I have a 350Z nismo and a Frontier PRO 4X. I feel complete.

Best Truck I've ever owned!
My 2011 Frontier was purchased new and has been super reliable, has a comfortable cab, great sound system, and gets 24 MPG on the hwy and backroads. Wax it a couple times a year and it still looks new and gets compliments. My only caution would be to be careful backing it up in parking lots, a backup camera would be helpful. In the 8 years that I have owned it, the only thing besides regular maintaince, has been to replace the original battery at 7 years.

Great truck, but as always a few complaints
Overall I am mostly satisfied with this truck. I've driven this one for just over 8,000 miles. I like the exterior styling except for the excessive amounts of "chrome" or bright shiny metal/plastic. I'm fine with the bumpers being shiny, but the front bumper along with the bright grille is simply to much in my opinion. Not a big deal, I'm paint the grille and that problem is solved. They also attempted to solve this in the 2012 model with the sports package. I'm nearly satisfied with the interior. The materials could have been a bit better, but aren't bad overall. It just seems as if the plastics scuff up pretty easily. Lastly the automatic transmission is a bit of a gear hunter.
It does exactly what I need it to do.
I purchased this truck new about a year and a half ago. I have driven it nearly 17,000 miles in that time. There are a few complaints, but mostly good comments to make. This truck does exactly what I need it to do. The engine is powerful enough to accommodate standard needs, and still gets decent, for it's class, MPG. The 4WD system and HDC all work smoothly, and the brakes certainly get the job done. The one negative I have overall is the transmission. It's not horrible, but on long trips through mountain passes you will notice it can be a bit of a gear hunter unless you try and tame it down by taking OD off. If you do that, it is much smoother, but revs higher and it will reduce your MPG.
Great Truck
Just purchased the crew cab and its perfect! I did my research and test drove the Toyota Tacoma, another truck I like as well. But when it came down to numbers/pricing, Frontier won.
