Always look forward to driving.
I've now had this car for five years and nearly 80k miles. At the time it was the only American made sedan I could find with a manual transmission, ABS and a V-6. I pretty much got every option; the power seat, sunroof, traction control and split folding leather seats have definitely come in handy. I always enjoy driving it, although it does have some limitations: particularly the drink holders and road noise at highway speeds. Very little has gone wrong that wasn't fixed under warranty (knock on wood) so I've been quite pleased with that. Generally, it's a much sportier and more comfortable car than you'd expect for the price and I am very happy with it.
timing belts costly
We haven't had this car a year and it's had three timing belts put in talked to another guy who owns one he has had the same problem what's up
Mercury
This car has a really smooth ride and I like the one touch moonroof. The engine is peppy and was fast for its day but now many 4 cylinders have more h.p and torque. Lumbar is very supportive.
Not a bad car, bad dealer
It's been a good car over all. I did have a problem with the dash, but Ford fixed it even after the car was off warranty. I love the power of the V6. Plus mine is loaded with all the options.
3+ years, 48,000 miles
I have had no problems at all (fingers crossed) with this vehicle with the 24 valve V-tec 6. A bubble formed the size of a quarter on the dash, but I it did not justify ripping out the whole dash (recall item)unless they could eliminate the Ford rattle (beyond mechanics ability and hearing problems). Will replace original Goodyear tires next week only because of the severity of winter driving.
