Love My Car

I love driving this car. I got the almandine black matallic with java interior. The car turns heads. Love the keyless go and voice command. It's comfortable, quiet and smooth. SAT became available after I ordered the car. I set up an install but stopped the installation when dealer called to tell me they would have to mount antenna on truck and needed to drill a hole in the lid. Almost 7k miles on the car without any problems. Oh, hit some road debris and tore a hole in a tire side wall. Called roadside assistance via the wrench button. I was back on the road in less than 45 minutes. Great service all around.

good in rain and snow

I had a s430 and it was a fine car. In the winter the traction was adequate. The s4304matic is much better in snow and rain. The newer model is improved but lacks a cassette player that was previously included. Fuel economy is slightly less. I average 17mpg

Unbelievable power. This vehicle is the pinnacle of refinement, a smooth ride, a powerhouse, with the all important smug factor.

Need better Audio/GPS/Control System

I also have a new 2003 Lexus LX470 and an old LS400. I guess I can compare them pretty well here: 1. The S500 is a noisy car during acceleration. The Lexus is much quieter. 2. The GPS/Audio system on the S500 sucks; it's very hard to operate unless you remember all the details and look at it while driving all the time. The GPS/Audio on the LEXUS is much easier to use and the touch- screen on Lexus is intuitive and easiser to use. 3. The audio system on S500 is not too impressive. Lexus audio is better. 4. The road handling is much more solid for the S500. 5. The exterior look of S500 is more stylish than the LS430 even for the new LS430 models.
