Bought the E320 CDI to replace 04 BMW 530i. The difference in quality are amazing, for a $50k+ car the BMW is cheap and tacky inside. MB feels like it costs a lot more. Fuel consumption made me get the diesel, after test- driving both the gas and the diesel. The torque is stunning. Averaging 33mpg combined so far.

I drive more than I used to in my 1999 E series, or my 1987 RX7 (a great handling car). I seek out the windy roads.

The E320 CDI is a real driving pleasure, comfortable, amazing pick up and accelaration and a wonderful stable driving platform - minimum roll at cornering. A car to enjoy and keep

Just returned from a 2,000 trip, I'm a bit disappointed with the fuel mileage. Even when using every trick to coax better mileage from the car, the best I saw on the highway was 34 mpg, it was usually less than that. The fit and finish of the vehicle are excellent. I'm not a big fan of the HVAC controls, the dials adjust the temp in 2 degree increments, sometimes it's hard to get just the right temp. I've seen reviews that indicate it's too easy to confuse the turn signal with the cruise control stalk, and even after 3 months with the car, I still occasionally mix them up. The car is an excellent long-range cruiser, very comfortable.

Just the right size. Relaxed driving with a great engine and transmission combo. Great handling, not sporty but accurate and secure. Good fuel economy.
