A total disappointment for the high price you pay. Brand new, third time using it and it did not want to turn on, had to call roadside assistance. Sometimes when you try to lock/unlock it doesn’t respond, so you have to use the key buttons. Although of the mpg, even on short trips is not economical, prepare to make many stops to the gas station. Metal edges quickly become moldy and plastic parts are easy to get scratched. Suddenly you can hear alarming noises in the engine area while its headlights blink, among other things. Painful to have so many problems in a new suv that only has been used less than normal and relatively short trips.

Had had the car for a month. Select trim. Gas mileage better than advertised. Had problems with the transmission search for best gear but that settled down. Stiff ride, but problems is with the Bridgestone tires based on reviews I've read. I don't like all the exterior plastic molding and the gap between tires and wheel well, so am going to install a shorter spring set (1.5" shorter) like Mazda use in the UK version of the CX30.

Ok, I’ve had a 2020 CX-30 for a week now as a courtesy car. It’s beautiful to look at, the interior and exterior alike. It’s quick and fun to drive....BUT.... I’m glad I don’t own it because I would have such buyer’s remorse that I would wrap it around a tree or drive it into a lake. This is the most obnoxious vehicle I’ve ever dealt with. From the lane keep assist that knocks me back on the road and makes me feel like I’m not in control, to the most irritating “no seat belt” chime in existence. The radar cruise control that will viciously slam on the brakes on the interstate if someone cuts in front of me to catch an exit. The doors that lock here, lock there, press the keyfob, no press the button, whoops the hatch won’t open back to the door to press the button AHHH! The “easy” gas door that requires a series of events, choreographed dance moves and holding my mouth just right to get open. The Sirius XM weather warnings that pop up right as I’m looking at navigation to figure out which of these three exits right next to each other I need to take “POP UP HURRICANE STATEMENT!” Whoops! Wrong turn! The auto-lights that randomly turn the brights on and off constantly. Yeah, I hate this car. I’ve spent the last week changing and reconfiguring settings, some things simply aren’t fixable. My 2015 Mazda 3 S Grand Touring is much more user friendly, much less “dummy proof” and more customizable than this CX-30. What a big step backwards. Take my advice, if you want one of these, get it without all of these idiotic “safety features”. Some things, like the doors, aren’t fixable. But having my car slamming on the brakes or violently yanking my steering wheel is completely ridiculous. If these “safety features” were any “safer” there would be cars out here murdering people on purpose.

I didn’t want a big SUV. This car is the perfect size. Great ride. Good mileage. Meets all my needs
