Best handling subcompact hatchback out there
Exactly what I planned on buying. The 2 handles great. It is best on curvy roads. I put a K&N air filter in it and it helped the acceleration. I drive 90% highway driving and I am averaging 40 mpg. That is with 3k miles on it. It is not a perfect car; however, I think that it is the best handling subcompact hatchback sold today. I test drove both auto and manual an the manual is the most fun to drive. I test drove other cars, but this car handles better than the other subcompacts that I drove. This car has the zoom zoom handling Mazda is famous for. At least test drive one before you buy another subcompact. I would buy this car again.
Good car. Wife likes it. Replacement parts
. Wife likes it. Replacement parts are very expensive and hard to fine. I found that the Mazda two is different than all other Mazdas. I have had a couple small breakdowns and finding replacement parts were very difficult and expensive. Such as a simple tire stud was a dealer part only. Also sample CV joints/driveshaft. Dealer part only and they are $800 compared all other cars which a CV joint would cost anywhere between 60 and $120.

Fun with a few flaws
Bought this to replace a 12 year old clunker. I love driving the car. The engine does feel peppy. The lower horse power forces you work the gears. The shifter and gear box are great -- exactly what I expect from Mazda. It is always fun to drive a slow car fast. I bought the base Touring model. It had all the features I wanted; cruise, upgraded stereo, trip computer, etc. I would love to see a center console. I have no where to put my right arm on longer freeway drives.
Bought new 2011 and still love it
80k mi and they only thing new is 2 front tires and oil. Sure I would like a little more power but otherwise it is exactly what I need - a car that reliably gets me from A to B cheaply. I am surprised how well it has retained value. You can barely even find one for sale!

Small but Mighty
This is a great little car if you want great gas mileage with very little maintenance cost. It is a hatch back so when you lower the back seats you can put quite a bit of items in the back. The only drawback I have found is it's size because it is small. I loose it in the parking lots because it hides behind larger cars! Great car for someone who wants great gas mileage, space for stuff, easy to drive and comfortable to drive. This is the perfect little bomb.
