A 40K+ Car Shouldn't Rattle
I started out loving this car. Excellent highway passing capability, spectacular emergency handling (saved my life on one occasion) and superior comfort. BUT little things mean a lot. After about 8000 miles a rattle developed under the dash. Soon it sounded as if the entire dash was shifting after a moderate bump. Still not resolved to my satisfaction. I've since learned that this is a problem endemic to early production units. Lexus should do better.

Lexus Engine failure at 23K miles
Not only did this piece of garbage blow upwith little mileage, the dealer would not honor the warranty. The Toyota leasing company promised to inspect the vehicle but didnt see fit to do so after 6 months of calls. I will never buy another lexus or toyota product again. Btw, on the toyota website they mention the engine design flaw which caused this problem but take no responsibility for it. Just bums.
Not your mama's SUV!
This (the 2004 RX 330) is a great car! Comfortable, fast, and fun to drive. Best gas milage that I've found in all the mid-size luxury SUV's. The quickest from 0-60 mph that I drove (Lexus RX 330, BMW X5, Mercedes ML 350, VW Touareg, Volvo XC90) in 7.7 seconds. A much tighter turning radius than the previous model, a larger gas tank, and even more cargo room. Best mid-size luxury bang-for-your-buck SUV out there.........in my humble opinion!
In Love with Lexus
I did not go wrong in purchasing a Lexus. This is the most comfortable vehicle ever purchased or test drove. It does not ride like a "truck" and hate for people to call it that. It is so comfortable to drive on long distance trips. If in need of another car, Lexus will be my first choice!
