bought this car new in late 2010. Having owned the car over 4 years now, it has been a mechanically PERFECT automobile. Other than changing oil, filters and battery, NO repairs. Not even a light bulb. Updating this review: Have now owned this car for 7 1/2 years and has about 78k miles. Nothing has changed. Just standard maintenance only. No repairs, not even a light bulb. Still has original brakes!!! Perfect car!

Last weekend my 2012 ES 350 actually exceeded the advertised MPH (19 city, 28 hwy). I drove from New Orleans back to Houston, setting cruise at 70mph. After arriving at Houston I calculated the miles-per-gallon and 33 MPG is what I got out of my car !

Traded in an Ultra 2007 ES350 on new 2011 ES350. Received $1,000 loyalty rebate, factory rebate of $750, 2.9% / 60 months finance rate plus nice dealer discount and appropriate trade in value for my car. Drives smoother and quieter than my '07. Noticed more bling type trim on the interior. Miss the Mark Levinson sound system but the premium sound system is good. Has navigation system that is a lot more complicated than the '07. Like everything so far on the car as it rolls past the 100 mile mark.

Purchase one of the last new 2011 ES 350's before Christmas so have had it about 2 months. I do a lot of out of town driving so have 5000 miles on the car already. On the highway it is quiet and smooth. Around town it is responsive if you have to move quick. Interior fit and finish is outstanding. No complaints whatsoever. Previously owned a 2004 ES 330 and the new one has more back seat room.

Great car for reliability, depreciation & comfort

I recently purchased a 2012 ES 350 with 57,000 miles. A little squeak coming from the belt so I'll get that changed. If it was the water pump that was squeaking, that would have been an expensive fix. (check the water pump before you buy) Overall it's a great car. It'll probably depreciate at a rate of $1000 a year which is great. First 6 years it lost $20-$25K of its value...about $3500 a year. The next 6 years should lose about $6000. Also I would recommend getting a 2011 or 2012 since these cars accept regular gas instead of premium like the 2007-2010. It does like drinking gas, especially during local driving. For comfort and safety, this is a great car to get.

While I have not owned my car since new, it has been such a great experience from both the performance aspects of both the car and the dealership, Lexus of Omaha. I have been a loyal Buick owner for 15 years and when it came time to replace my Park Avenue Ultra, I cringed. Buick no longer makes the Park Avenue and I have not been thrilled with their latest offerings. Reliability and longevity were my criteria in selecting my new car. So many people that have owned a Lexus product swear by the reliability of the cars. One owner I talked to was on their third Lexus having got 430,000 miles on the first one, and 375,000 miles on the second with no transmission problems. Consumer reports also rates the Lexus brand as having a good track record for reliability. I chose to go with a pre-owned Lexus ES 350 with 44,000 miles. Having the warranty from the Lexus dealer was added peace of mind. The ride comfort, low cabin noise level, and acceleration made missing the Park Avenue for just those reasons relieve me from my angst. Driving is part of my job as a manager and all-around comfort and performance are of major importance. The other aspect of owning a Lexus has been the experience of how I have been treated by everyone at the dealership, especially Rob, the general manager. I had reservations about not driving an American made car, but the way the dealership has gone out of their way to make sure I was happy has been absolutely exceptional and without peer in my all my years. This is the way we used to do business in this country by taking care of the customer, and in my mind, this removed any anxieties I had of not buying an American car. My fiancee having been witness to my experience, decided to get a new Lexus from Rob and his team. In doing so, she gave up the albatross of high cost of ownership that comes with every BMW, where the cost of service borders upon being absurd. I am so totally sold. The dedication and service that Lexus of Omaha has shown to me by exceeding my expectations makes the dedication to the Lexus product and people all that easier and gratifying.

i owned a chyrsyler 2004 300m that i did not want to let go because of its superb perfomance on the highway, its interior roominest and large trunk space. after 100+ thousand miles, repair cost was getting too much and a family member convince me to buy a lexus. the 2008 recession hit me badly and i could not pay my bills so my once perfect credit went into the garbage bin. I laughed at the idea of buying lexus because i did not have the down payment and i would need to credit it 100%. Capital one bank came to my rescue with a 30K loan but at 17.5% because of my credit. even with a 30k loan i thought to myself, that this could not buy the lexus everyone is encouraging me to buy. Anyway, i call lexus at bayridge brooklyn and asked the crazy question "do you have a lexus in the 24 to 25 k price range and to my surprise, the answer was yes.i headed there immediately and my salesman was John Pellarmi and he worked with me and got me the best deal ever, a 2011 lexus es350 fully loaded 32k miles for 22k .this was february of 2015. this car is smooth even on the roughest of road, just sweet.i would buy another one tomorrow morning. my wife has a 2012 BMW x5 that cost twice my lexus and she always bragged about it.she drove my car once and she had no choice but admit how smooth the lexus is and how easy it is to use the navigation system. even a kindergarten child could use the 2011 lexus nav system so easy to use,.i love this car beyond love.always checking the web to see what is coming out.

I have 3,000 miles on my 2012 ES which replaced an 02 GS 300 with 236k miles on it which replaced a 95 ES 300 with 170k on it. These cars last! the current car is pretty and quick and quiet, but offers no drama. It does everything well but the handling reminds me of my dad's Buicks-well, that may be an exaggeration, but not by much. Apart from that, the 3.5 v6 is plenty quick and the fit and finish are very fine. The std audio system with blue tooth and navi are very functional. You can easily understand them. Seating is good for long hauls-i did 1,600 miles in a week and no problems. I like it but on a country road with twisties, I miss my GS. and that new GS just knocks me out but its $$$,

i recently traded in our 2002 es300 for the new 2011 es 350. We drove it to Disney World for a four day vacation. it was the only one we saw on the road and in orlando which made us feel different in this age of lookalike autos. Needless to say, we received many admiring looks when driving or parking the car. upon arrival at our hotel, the bell staff greeting us to carry our luggage and helping us out of the car, remarked how great the car looked inside and out. The three hour trip from our home to lake buena vista was smooth and quiet as we were used to in our lexus. our fuel economy was as advertised and the engine was breaking in smoothly.

Ive only owned this car for about 8 months. I absolutely love it, and get lots of compliments driving it! I have not had any problems what so over. The gas mileage isnt great, but my previous car was a 4 cylinder toyota corolla, 2 totally different cars, with totally different engines. My only complaint is, the roof feels low, and Im not that tall either. I am about 5'5, but I always bump my head on the roof getting into the car. Lexus describes it as a cocoon type interior, and that is definitely what it feels like, so if you can live with the low roof feeling, everything else is perfect, and this is the perfect car for you!

I love this car. Before this car, I owned a 2004 BMW 330xi, a 2010 GS350 AWD, 2012 RX350 AWD, and I currently own a 2010 GX460. Of all of the cars I have owned, this has been my favorite. I bought it 2 years ago for $14k with 70k miles simply to drive 30 miles, 5 days a week for my commute. It drives smooth, sips fuel, and has all of the comforts of other Lexus vehicles I have owned. This car gives and gives and gives and asks for nothing. I have not had a single issue in 30k miles and 2 years of ownership and the car is almost 10 years old. The sound system is great, the headlights are phenomenal, the heated/ac seats are comfortable, the cabin is whisper quiet, the trunk is huge, and the car is very quick when you need it to be. Every feature still works in this vehicle, and I get so many compliments on it which is ironic because its a 10 year old car that I paid so little for. There is something to be said about a car that does everything so well. If you are considering this vehicle & have any hesitation, just buy it! You will not regret it. I sold this car for a 2020 GS350 F-Sport and to be honest I miss it a lot. Was getting 29mpg in the ES with regular fuel now only getting 21mpg with premium fuel in the GS. Cabin was much quieter in the ES as well.

ive had an ES then a GS and then the current one. Everything on it works as new at 77k miles. The nav system is so so but no other complaints. Fuel Econ is very good and maintenance is minimal. The finish is good and the pAint shines so far without wax. My buds make fun of it cause it's boring car. It is but I still like it. For 10-11k more you can get a GS which has more sexy lines but the ES is a better value . update 3/25/2016. At 90k, this car is smooth as silk. No complaints. Great long drive car. very quite and the mpg is 30+ if all highway.

Bought this in Nov 2011 with 5000 miles. it now has 63000 miles. except for regular maintenance haven't touched it- Had mechanic check brakes and still have 30 thousand on them he said. Also this one is built in Japan so built with loving care - not built by a union person that doesn't care. Best car I ever owned and I am 76 yrs-

Best car I have ever owned and really don't want to get rid of it, but just have the itch for something different. Outstanding comfort and reliability - never, never a problem with any aspect of the car. It is virtually impossible to beat the reliability and predictability of a Toyota, and Lexus takes it to the next level.

I love this car, this is my second, and will go with it again. One thing I truly despise, which even has been a source of embarrassment for me (in front of my girlfriend with Droid) is Lexus GPS. It is so unreliable, I just gave up on it entirely and now rely on Google Droid Navigation. Which raises a question of why I paid extra 5K or so for Navigation package. Huge, huge embarrassment for Lexus. And touch screen works worse than anything I have experienced ever. You will end up having to press and hold each key in alphabet to enter an address.

I've owned this car for three years, I bought it used with about 25,000 miles. Overall I do love to drive this car it is very luxurious and handles very nicely. I only have a few complaints. The navigation is just really a piece of crap and I never use it. The leather on the seats start to break down very quickly, I tried to get Lexus to do something about it but they said it was it not worn enough to warrant being replaced. The cheap plastic they used on the doors around window controls started to peel and looked really cheesy but Lexus did replace those with some nice chrome plated inserts, good for them. My gas mileage is around 27 to 28 MPG and I have it regularly serviced as required. I have about 90,000 miles on it now and I would not hesitate to drive across the country, very reliable.

I did all my research before I bought my 2012 Lexus ES350, heard nothing but good things and heard nothing about people having paint issues. I have owned only high end cars most of my life, so I am on the compulsive side when it comes to maintaining my vehicles, I do not use car washes,I have my cars profesionally detailed, do not drive on dirt roads and so on well, I have so many scratches on my Lexus, I stopped counting!! it has less then 4000 miles on it, and it looks like a five year old car. Looked it up on the computer and found they had a class action law suit do to paint problems.

Had a 2003 Lexus ES and drove it until the wheels fell off. Not literally. But it was time to get a new car. I bought a 2014 Honda Accord. A great car, nothing to dislike. Traded it in for a 2011 Lexus ES 350 and while it was a slight step back tech-wise, the ride and feeling of the car more than makes up for it. Looking forward to driving the Lexus hopefully many years. Update: Still driving this wonderful car!

The ES 350 is our go to car. We have three of them. The 2011 was the oldest and was purchased as a Certified Used Car with 32,000 miles on it in 2013. Came with a great warranty. Never any issues with car. Dealer always provided a loaner when tie to service. I put another 25,000 miles on it and then traded it in on a 2018 ES350. My wife wanted me to have the upgraded safety features that have come about over 7 years. The 2011 has a full sized spare which I would have loved to have in my 2018.

Found a used one with only 27000 km. The car is perfect. Smooth ride and powerful response when need it. All around quality is outstanding. Everything functions perfectly. I feel like back to the future since the car is 10 years old but completely new. What a blessing!. Nothing cheap in this car, nothing out of place. This is my first Lexus and I'm still in an awe of this car. Rare quality wonder from the past. I want to update this review because the car is even better than I thought at first. After 10 000 km I discovered that this cars is built forever. I had 0 issues and I believe all parts are still originals. I only had to change oil and service the brakes and that's the maintenance. The only negative is that to update the GPS map I will have to pay around 200$ which I gladly will to keep it functional. Everything else still flawless! I you can Git a Lexus E350 2011 for life!

Have chosen Lexus ES because of its well-known quality and reliability and value. Happy with its many well-thought features. Having read so much about uninspired driving experience, I didn't expect much about excitement. Still it has decent power and handling. However, the car already has rattles. A Lexus dealer said the rattle is from right front suspension; the car left in the dealer 2 nights and the issue was fixed under warranty. Now I hear another rattle from left rear side of the car. Researched online and found that Lexus under $40k, IS and ES, have had many rattle issues. Quite disappointed in this area.

I have owned this 2012 ES350 car for one year and find it to be a real fine vehicle.I do wish mine had navigation and a rear camera but most everything about the car is satisfactory so far.Plenty of pep, seats are comfortable (heated and cooled)and ride is excellent. I would say the ride is the best feature as it is quiet and smooth. As far as transmission and handling I would say it is adequate and could have used some improvement but definitely not a big deal. I would like to see a heated steering wheel and definitely an all wheel option for the ES350.I also have HID lighting where the lights turn with the angle of the road and those are great to have.I really don't know how it handles in snow as I don't drive it in the snow but use my wife's Toyota Rav 4 in wimter weather. We have owned Toyotas for 12 years now (though I do have a Corvette also) and their reliability has been nothing but fantastic for us.I would love to own a Lexus LS 460 AW drive but not sure if that will ever happen.Maybe if I get to old for my Corvette I can use that for a tradeup. Anyways Toyota-Lexus make great automobiles as far as my family is concerned and I recommend them.

This is my second ES. I still have the 2004 model, and it will not be my last. The 2004 has over 145,000 miles and is looking and running great. The 2011 looks and drives like a new car as well.

drove the car from the dealer's lot to home with the big red bow in the back seat as this was a present for my wife. We had a 2002 es300 we traded in for the 2011 es350. after an initial break-in period we drove to Disney World from our florida home in fort myers. needless to say, the three hour trip was smooth, quiet and thoroughly refeshing as one expects from the lexus. upon arrival at our hotel we were greeted by the bell staff at the front entrance to unload the luggage and check in. They admired the car's exterior and interior as they helped us unload. on the road we also received admiring glances from other motorists as well as when we parked.

My biggest disappointment is the Avrg 18.9 MPG in totally flat streets and highways in South Florida. Not even close to the sticker 27 mpg. The center arm rest is difficult to slide open. The phone and ipod connections are inconveniently inside the center console. The side mirrors automatically point to the ground in reverse making it impossible for one to see approaching cars or obstacles on both sides other than those on the ground. Hardly any space to hide or place objects. This is my 4th and last ES350. Have not owned one in 5 years and seems I'm driving the same old Lexus with new inconveniences added. Mats are thinner and do not match the carpet color. Incomplete under dash carpet.

The 2010 , 2011 , and 2012 ES 350 are the last of the production run for the model . History since 1990 shows the end of the run with Lexus are the best of the best cars . We bought a 2011 , and 2012 Ultra Luxury with the Levinson radio . The Es's are as near perfect as one can buy . Do not hesitate , on the Es . History will rate them like '55 chevy's . Don't hesitate , buy em' before it's too late . This sedan is a 10 .

Don't Buy the Nav System - ES350 (2012-16)

This is our fourth Lexus. We bought the last three new. Until this model, we liked the car, the value, and the features, even though the latter are pricey. We bought our 2012 ES-350 brand new. The navigation system in it is not up to snuff. Moreover, there have been no major improvements in that system in the ensuing ten (including the 2022 model). In all honesty, a $270 voice-activated off-the-shelf Garmin 2797LMT runs circles around the system for which Lexus has the gall to charge $2,600. I believe that the senior manufacturing executives at Lexus are too pig-headed and/or arrogant to embrace the idea that they might not be able to make every feature as good as it should be and, therefore, it makes sense to rely on outsourcing, no matter how hard that might be on their inflated egos. The fact that the navigation system has not been either improved or junked completely since December 2011 affirms the arrogance of Lexus USA executives. Another tell-tale sign: If one calls the 800 Lexus number, one learns that Lexus management refuses to give the phone reps the tools to do their jobs: they can't see my instrument panel on their monitors. Therefore, they can't see what I'm talking about, so they cannot help. First, Lexus management shafts its customers. Then it kneecaps its own employees. Are these executives raging incompetences or what??!

before you purchase a lexus their interior leather is the worst I have ever seen in a so called luxury car. have a 2012 and have already had to replace the seat covers the perforated inserts just plain ripp. Had to pay $1700.00 per seat to replace just the cushions. expected much better and they say normal wear and tear! 4 YEARS AND RIPPS. KIA has a better interior than this at 10th of the price. beware!

On a 500 mile road trip you will notice how Lexus cut corners. The pleather armrest irritated my elbow so bad that on the way back from Miami I had to buy a hand towel to cover armrest to keep elbow from hurting. Never had this issue on road trips in my Mercedes or Jaguar!

The smoothest riding auto I've ever had. I found a low mileage Moonmist color! It has not disappointed me after one year ownership. Powerful engine and I get 30+ on hyw at 80+ mph. Comfortable and plenty of room in trunck. Going to keep this one for Ten Years I think. Only 45k so far!
