Used 2003 Lexus ES 300 Consumer Reviews
20 years and going
I’ll soon own my 2003 Lexus 300 ES for 21 years. 267000 miles and is not garaged. I’ve had to replace front struts recently and back links as one might expect after so many years but this car has been amazingly reliable and a pleasure to drive. Not a spot of rust anywhere- I do keep it waxed and looks showroom new. No end in sight. UPDATE: I bought this care in 2004 and it has 280,000 miles. Not a single rust spot anywhere with very basic but consistent body care using polymer spray wax with each washing. I've replaced shocks, struts, stabilizer bar on rear axle. Has had two alternators, but now works perfectly and no end in sight.

Exceeds our expectations
This vehicle has exceeded our expectations in all arenas. We have put over 6000 miles on it in 3 months. It has had zero defects. On acceleration, it has more than enough power for us. We drive 70 miles per day on the interstate and it makes the drive seem short. On long trips, it has gotten 28 to 30 mpg. In town 25 mpg.

Quality at an affordable price
I enjoy this car and am glad I was able to get it. I used to have the 94 ES 300 and I never had any problems with it, so got this car because of my previous experience with it.
Perfect ES300
I sold my BMW325 and purchased ES300. I really love it.
Poor car to own
Came with bad tires out alienment. Turn lamp fell off. Floats on the road. Low to the ground getting in and out. Cruise control terrible, it down shifts and charges when going up the slightest incline. Will not return to set speed on cruise if you come to a stop or slow way down, you have to reset everytime you hit your brakes. Hoped I would like the car but I don't. Back seating cramped for leg. Air to back seat is poor. Windshield is sloped and causes extreme heat entrance into the car, Sunvisor has a light switch that should be automatic. The passenger has to hit the button in the backseat to unlock each door everytime if the passsenger wants out.
